Thanks for the video! Nice to see designs on such a large scale. I’m borrowing ideas from beer brewing industry for my corny keg size cold brewer. Surprisingly I see little concern about oxidation. I’m brewing under pressure of nitrogen gas in a keg.

Do you have anything for tea? Like brewing the tea leaves, filtering the sediments and pasteurizing it?

I have a question about the false bottom, does any of the coffee grains get below the filter ? if yes, how do you clean it?

Yes, grounds will get under the false bottom. There are several factors that determine how much and when grounds get under the false bottom, such as grind size. During the brewing process you are able to recirc pulling from the bottom and dumping back on top using the coffee as a filter bed to help mitigate the amount under the floor. We then use a secondary filtration device in-line during the transfer to another tank that will remove any remaining grinds. When you have the vessel empty of liquid and use the plow system to clean it out you will force a lot more under the false bottom. To clean this out we have 5-6 sprayers under the floor depending on the size of the vessel that we use to clean any remaining grinds out during our CIP (Clean in Place) process, there are also rotary spray balls in the top of the vessel for the same purpose, CIP. It is helpful to have a pump and a water reservoir so you can supply enough flow and pressure to effectively clean.
