  • We're at Windrock for WWW23 and boy was the first day on the trails a fun one. Winch Fest!! The recovery boards also got put to use, in addition to multiple winching situations. Nate's our Team Captain and Brad's the Trailgunner. It was so cool to be part of Team 9. Our team assigned trails for day one included G58, 70, 62, 54, 53, 50, 88, G1, then back to camp. Let's just say we completed G58 and about half of Trail 70. The trails were muddied up pretty good on this day in January 2023. This video captures the place on Trail 70 that provided the greatest challenge.

Was that a sequoia in the very front? What year model of a sequoia would you recommend? Or 4Runner

Greetings. The truck at the front of the line is a Lexus GX 460. The popular GX off roader is the Lexus GX 470. The 470 model is a match to the 4th Gen 4Runner (made from years 2003 to 2009). The 470 comes with the 4.7 liter engine (nice!!). My favorite off roading vehicle is the 3rd Gen 4Runner (made 1996-2002). My rig is a 2002 model with rear locker added. The 4th Gen 4Runners are great for wheeling too. I'm partial to the 3rd Gen cause it's skinnier, lighter, and you can put all kinds of modifications on it.

Hey, thanks! I'm running Yokohama Geolander MTs (33s) and Miles has Toyo Open Country MTs (35s) on his 4Runner. Falken Wildpeak ATs are great for on and off road situations. The Wildpeaks give a better road ride, while the Geolanders are better for the mud.

What walkie are you using? 1:41

We're using Midland walkies to communicate. I installed a MXT275 in my 3rd Gen along with the 3 db gain ghost antenna. We also use Midland handheld walkies...GXT X-Tra Talk. These are great devices to keep in touch while on the trails.

@@Zdog598 just fyi, i also use the mxt275 and it is great and can be mounted anywhere since the control buttons are on the handheld mic.
however, if you transmit on any GMRS radio frequencies you are supposed to have GMRS license. it is cheap and easy to obtain and i dont think they enforce it much, but just thought i would tell ya
