This is such a fun idea. But what REALLY caught my eye was the unbelievably perfect points on your flags. Every single one from what I could tell. I think your two secrets is perhaps a tad extra backstitching and and precise trimming. Well done! And Inspiring!
Totally cute. Would be great as a banner for our Girl Scout cookie booths since we put the boxes in rainbow order. I think it just makes every thing look better when they are in color order.
So cute. I've always liked these but wondered if I should hem around a triangle, or make a double (lined) flag. Your pattern cleared that up. I couldn't imagine it. So clever. I'll definitely save the 'scraps' now for a good long string of these. Love them. Thanks for the pattern.
Hi Whitney, turned out super cute. Also possible to make different banners and then combine them as needed 😉 Sometimes the easy ideas are the ones you did not think of before. xoxo from Germany, Stephanie
I just found you on youtube. Thank you for your tutorials. I was looking for the free pattern for letters and numbers. Can you direct me. Didn't find it on your site. Thank you
Hi there, how do you hang the banner flag? I would like to make one and hang it from side to side on my wall but as something permanent... I find that the bias tape is wide so it's hard to connect it or tie it to something.
I used very narrow bias tape for this one, so tying the flags together was easy. As for hanging it, I use push pins. I pin through the bias tape and into the wall. It's been hanging up since this video was made a couple of years ago without any problems at all. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for this tutorial and template! Can’t wait to make one for my great-niece’s playroom!

Great idea! This project has so many possibilities!
Yeah, you can make one with each letter on them and change up the sayings. That would be great.
Stephanie Löffler and no knotts while washing...🥺😳ps fan from germany too.☺️
Super cute project. And bonus points for using up scraps! Great tutorial as always!

You rock
Aww! Thank you!
How can you put on lettering for this on without seeing the appliqué sewing on the other side?
You can do it before sewing by centering the letter on the center fold. Just add a bit of stabilizer there

Looks great, I can’t wait to try this! Where do you purchase your fabric?
Some was given to me, the rest is from Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, and JoAnns. But I pulled them all from stash for this project.
Whitney Sews Thank you! I can’t find the tutorial for the transparent pattern “how to”.

Why do you need a credit card if patterns are free🤷🤦
You don't. My patterns on the site are set up through a shop plug in, bit you do not need to put in credit card info for the order to go through.
