Yes Vineeth is not only a professional dancer but an accomplished actor too, he has acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movies mostly. I'm his biggest fan so hearing that you guys appreciated his work in Chandramukhi and in the song Raa Raa really made me happy🤗🤗 Also it made me giggle when you 2 weren't sure if it was always him or they were 2 different actors, in the very first time i was confused too so it made me remember this little fun thing.

The Tamil version is just more grandiose in every way. It was more about the commercial aspect. Jothika is an awesome actress and she did a good job with the dance.

Tamil version blockbuster hits credit goes to Rajini kanth and Vadivelu comedy track and thats the difference between Malayalam and tamil version... Tamil version more entertaining and Malayalam version is more dramatic.

For people who doesn't understand this song... Chandramukhi is ghost that posses jyothika(female lead) and she thinks of her past life where she and her lover was murdered by King(RanjiniKanth Role) And the music is classical one
Note : Its a horror/psychological film (i failed to mention) and ghost as i mentioned is the way that everyone in movie sees.
And at starting, They saw the ritual place to exorcise her and then they came and witness the true face of Chandramukhi dancing as she used to dance everyday night (watch full movie to understand this)

Love their feedback. I love all of the versions they are all different on their own. We need to appreciate art in various forms. All of these dancers did well and should be appreciated. Let's not compare to the original. Of course the original dancers introduced us to this movie and this dance. Yes Shobana is a great dancer and will be. In this movie the male dancer is actually cousin of Shobana. They hail from a family of great dancers. Lalitha, Padmini and Ragini. the sisters trio acted and performed traditional dancing. This is a great movie in various languages and all of the artists did well. 👍❤🙏
This is just my opinion:
This movie came in 2005 and the movie was in theatre running successfully for more than 850 days almost two and a half years. it was a big record in Tamil Nadu that time and i feel thats because it catered to all class audience. like you said every detail was on the face, may be thats why it reached people of eveey class and sector and it had every masala ingredient from comedy, romance, action to horror, thrill and dance. Also yes Rajnikanth sells more and may be thats why in this version he is made the villain king, but the movie went on to become a big success not just because of him, Jothika was the biggest herione at that time and she did a great job and comedian vadivelu's performance in this movie contributed more. this was a entertainer masala movie with content.
i remember as a child after watching the movie her eyes haunted me for days😂.Also other questions about why vineeth's character is dancing with her and how and what of ither stuffs if you see the full movie it will be great
Story was changed from original version, Except Malayalam all are remade in mid 2000's , in this they replaced the villain's character from king, the father of her lover with the king who wants her to be his mistress. The guy does not die in the original version.
This story is mixes Pshyco therapy with exorcism . She has to believe she was exorcised which happens with killing the king. Mohanlal played the Psychiatrist in the original Malayalam version. This song is in the third act.
Fun fact, Jyothika is Suriya's real life wife. Karthi's (Kaithi, PS1) Sister in law

I watched this movie before the Hindi remake and for most kids when this movie first came it was a nightmare fuel also personally for me it was like how Bogyman is for children. I watched the Telugu version of the movie I didn't realize till now in the original movie she was a Telugu speaker who got married to Tamil king I guess. I always watched this movie in Telugu but the song RA RA I thought was a Tamil song never realized there was a Telugu version of it.
