It constantly reads the pH level. The has a rely that switches on/off a power outlet that you can hook up your co2 tank too. By adding more co2, it'll lower your pH. So for example if you want the pH to be 7.0, you can set the controller to turn on the co2 when its 7.2 or 7.3. It'll turn off once it hits 7.0 (+/- some 0.1 error)
Is your pH 6.2 straight from the tap? What kind of fish are you keeping? Are you using any driftwood (this will lower your pH)? You can crush coral or add in stones (example - seiryu stones) to naturally bring up the pH. Of course you can always get chemicals, but that's only a temporary fix.
dang, i was hoping this machine could help me raise my ph up a bit at a time, any ideas on that? my ph is at about 6.2 i would love to get it closer to 7
As an analyzer technician, first, you should not dry the probe completely. Secondly, after you put the probe to the calculated solution, you should leave it for approximately 3-5 minutes and then adjust if needed. Same for the second solution
yo man i know this video is a little old but do you ever have a problem with it over dosing and your pH going to low or high? and do you keep the pH probe next to the Co2 outlet in the tank? Thanks!!
i am using a driftwood, it is a 30 gallon tank and the driftwoodt is about 1foot by 4 inches high by 4 inches wide, i am limited to what i can buy at petsmart, i cannot order online my water is indeed 6.2 from the tap
This thing just wont calibrate I had the biggest issues right from the beginning, ended up buying a new probe but still no luck, very slow and inaccurate readings even when it displays proper pH in fresh calibration solution..
Got mine calibrated thanks to this video.
Thanks for sharing this! I know if I get one I'd be looking at it like "now what do I do?" lol Very helpful info! :)
Np.

what does this controller actually do? does it just read ph constantly or how can it make adjustments?
What is the white valve piece for?

***** I dont use the pH controller like its suppose to be used. I just have it in the tank for reading/monitoring.
Bummer... Thanks for the reply
hey this company has the same probe but works in conjunction with a doser. could I use that to does my kalkwasser.
can be used in a 600 liter aquarium???

nice video man ..can you reuse the solution again..thanks
I'm not sure. I guess you can find a container to store it and have it sealed.

You didn't check water temperature.
Temperature affect pH...
