Why, I had no idea! I’m-a jus’ touch it...no reason to suspect any...damn.
I think she was so protective maybe because Okanda ( Lope's big bro) was a baby he had to be taken and hand raised. I have no idea why he didnt go back to his family. I cant find that info.
The sister looks at the baby and mother tenderly, but the mother protects the baby. It's wonderful to look at these wonderful creatures. I just hope the gorillas can't hear this horrible noise

Poor mommy! She has two daughters who will be driving her crazy trying to touch and kidnap the baby. God Bless mommy, she is very patient! My mother would have have knocked me into yesterday had i kept that up. Gorilla mothers are such patient and sweet with the older siblings wanting to be so close to the new borns. :-)
She will be kidnapping the baby all the time from mommy like her big sister did to her. It will be great to watch. Those sisters are so sweet to each other. They will be doting on the baby and give him/her lots of lessons in cuddles and play time.

She is such a good and protective mother. She knows can't trust a teenager. I mean yeah don't hurt the baby purposely but just a rough play or a little outburst and unintentionally can hurt or kill that fragile baby. The same reason the fathers or the male gorillas not touching the infants. Only after a few months even a year old. They are just so big that they can't really control or be so gentle.
