This game is absolutely incredible, and I would highly recommend not watching this speedrun if you haven't played the game yet, as it may contain spoilers.
Animal Well is the kind of game where it's hard to tell what's an intended secret and what's a glitch when you're just watching. The amount of hidden stuff in this game is intimidating
nice run, was curious what an any% would look like of this game. Why did you pick up the disk? Didn't seem needed for the clip you did. Also seeing the flute song for the wheel being played flabbergasted me.
Picking up the disc while in the wheel allows you to break out of the wheel and move around outside of it, while the game still thinks you're supposed to be inside of it. Going to a different room unloads the previous room, causing the wheel to start falling out of bounds, and re-equipping it will slingshot you back into the wheel, so if you time it right you can just sort of catch yourself while the wheel is falling into different rooms, including that room right before the end of the game.
No clue! There is currently a faster route than this that involves getting the disc first and being chased by the cat dog ghost thing for half the run, but it's scary and I haven't learned it yet lol
you want to turn the crank exactly one rotation, so it should be pointing up right still when you let go, then just jump as soon as possible and hold right (don't jump again when you hit the water, you'll jump automatically). the timing for the crank is kinda tight with the enemy so it can be tricky

I’m really struggling with the jump at 0:40 any tips on how you get this boost?
