  • In this video, I'm showing you an unboxing of the Meaco Arete One 20L dehumidifier. There are also sections whereby I've included the noise level at various settings.
My initial impression is that this is a very efficient dehumidifier.
*I didn't show it, but you're supposed to let the dehumidifier rest for at least 6 hours prior to first use!

Bought the 20L. Went all out as no need to upgrade later on. The best thing I’ve ever purchased hands down. Windows dry, clothes dry in 4-5 hours. No need to open windows in cold weather to air out the house. The amount of water this machine collects is crazy I’m a short amount of time. House warms up a lot quicker too due to less moisture in the air. Game changer! 10/10!

We live in Ireland and humidity is a ways about 75-80% RH. We are hoping this can do something about it. Opening windows doesn't really drop the humidity either so wonder if this would even help 😕

Thanks for the video review, it was useful in helping me decide to buy a Meaco Arete. I have just ordered and picked up the 12L model from my local Argos today, but it has gone out of stock again! Also no stock at John Lewis. The unit works well and definitely assisted drying clothes and is relatively quiet, especially in the 'Nighttime' mode. The only downside to this model is the lack of a timer, which would be useful in some scenarios though the 'Laundry' mode powers automatically down after 6 hours.

This dehumidifier is brilliant. I'm REALLY picky on what products I can/can't buy, because I suffer from bad allergies. Most products nowadays, are so cheaply manufactured that they off-gas chemicals. So I keep having to send products back. But the Meaco was perfect. High quality manufacturing, great customer service, brilliant functionality. Couldn't have asked for more. Love my Arete One 20L. I couldn't have done without it, because dehumidification is essential to my health.

@@None-Zero I have no issues with my Arete One 20L. Its great. Some say its heavy and doesn't roll well. It rolls well on my carpet, I suppose it depends how thick your carpet is. And its heaviness seems to be due to high quality. It doesn't have a timer function, true. But I don't think it needs one. It has a humidity setting, and an on/off button. I can't see why a timer is necessary, as it turns itself on and off according to your desired humidity level, which you'll probably want it at all the time.
