I noticed the same about *the untrimmed palm trees.* The concern is, not only does it look sloppy, but *rodents tend to live in that dead underbrush* which can create big problems to residents.

Villages itinerary from UK, test, fly, shop, eat, swim, test, Pickleball, tennis, eat some more, dance, test, fly, test. Like a lot of questions, the one on “busy” is a huge “depends”. We are Londoners so that ain’t busy. We also commuted to downtown Atlanta and D.C. for our jobs. That looks real quiet to us. 🤣🤣 Love you guys! 👍 🇬🇧

The reason women outlive men is ladders. Linda! Don’t kill Jerry! 😩. As to palm trees, we have many palms in Hawaii, of course. Besides the coconut palms, I really like the King palms. They are stately and fast growing and regularly shed their fronds. I had several coco palms in my yard at my old house. Coconuts falling are a hazard, but there was no shortage of guys who would climb the very tall trees, with permission, without spikes, to get the coconuts for free for both of us. The other palm I really like is phoenix robellini. They are good in small areas, feathery, and maintain their beauty.

We then saw you out in the hall on our way out but you had a big crowd of followers and a long line to get your autographs. I highly suggest visiting my ancestral home of Donegal, Ireland. The driving is NOT for the feint of heart but the scenery and friendliness of the people cannot be beat. If you can fly into Shannon on the west side, you can avoid the hustle and bustle of Dublin. Tabhair cuairt iontach ar Éirinn.
We would dearly love to go to Ireland. Someday…🙂🙂

Re: stinky golf carts
The golf cart I used during my lifestyle visit spewed so much exhaust that it made me sick. 🤢 I was told by a salesperson at The Villages Golf Carts that the rental golf carts don’t have a tailpipe so the exhaust comes out the bottom of the cart and goes everywhere. That certainly seemed to be the case because I could smell it and taste it the whole time I was driving. Very unpleasant. I would have just driven my car around TV but I left it at home. I’m looking forward to test driving some upscale golf carts when I move to TV.
Oh I love roosters! Spend summers as a boy on a farm and have not forgotten the great times and the roosters crowing so early in the morning. 🐓
These people here at the end of the street have a pet rooster. Every morning you can hear that guy going off.🐓
I got lost in VA/D.C. area about a month ago. All I had to do was drive 13 miles from Dulles main terminal to the grandkids home in South Riding. It took me 2 1/2 hours!! Granted, I got lost, and my GoogleMaps GPS was useless- all the multiple lanes and road construction had me spinning in circles. It was insane. Yes, have the grandkids visit you in Florida! Good decision.

Jerry & Linda i recently discovered y'all. You both are really fun to listen to. My wife passed away in 2008, I miss her so much. I'm now 77 yrs old and wish I could find happiness as you two have in the Villages. I hate winter weather! We vacationed in FL several times years ago. God Bless you and I hope you have many more years together enjoying the Villages.

Hi Linda and Jerry! I loved your video today, especially that part where you jokingly said Linda carried toilet paper and extra underwear in her bag. 🤣🤣 that’s no joke for me and my husband!! We do that. We keep an roll of toilet paper under the car seat. You never know when you might have an emergency. 😂. On the subject flooding, that was one of the reasons we backed out of purchasing a house in St Augustine. The flood zone the house was being built on was flood zone A, which is not particularly a good. Furthermore, the property was along a retention pond and we were skeptical about the retention pond overflowing in extreme weather. The flood zone was indicated in very tiny print on the diagram of the property schematic and was not disclosed by the builder. We found out by asking the department of county permits in St Augustine. We needed a flood certificate to get a flood insurance quote. It was quite a learning experience for us. This is what I love about your shows. They are very helpful and informative. What flood zone is your home on?

Great vlog guys. I think The Villages needs to overhaul their postal system. It’s sadly lacking in many areas. No excuse for a month delay in receiving letters and packages. What if you bought life saving prescriptions via mail order? It would be a concern for me. Just stating the facts. Looking forward to Thursday’s program. Thanks again and love those green tee shirts. My wife's life threatening medicine did sit in the postal station undelivered. The postal worker seemed unconcerned. It was tracked but not delivered.

Your joke about Linda keeping panties in her purse with a roll of toilet paper and a swiss knife --- I almost fell off my chair laughing. And of course, little Gizzy answering the question about having a girl dog in the room... OMG... that cracked me up! Gotta love his sense of humor!!! For the person who was worried about dog barking I would move away before I got rid of my dog. My dog is my family. Not just a stuffed animal or a toy. And my dog wouldn't be barking all day because I wouldn't be leaving him alone outside and ignoring him all day. A constantly barking dog is a sign of a neglectful human

We had service for 12 +++ good china, and nice dishes and everyday dishes! 3 sets! WAY TO MUCH!!!!! So…. I called one of the donation services and they DID NOT pick up dishes…. They would accept them at their site, or along with another donation, but not specifically for dishes. I put them on FB Marketplace and did not receive a single inquiry EXCEPT from someone who wanted them for mosaics (to break up!). I could not do that! So….. we took 2 sets of dishes to a donation drop off….. hopefully they will go to a good home. (NOPE my kids did not want them, either!)
You said that your son lives in the dc area. I have a lawn care company in northern Virginia. That would be funny if he was one of my customers.

It was 17 degrees this morning in Colorado Springs, I'm so tired of this! I can't wait to move to The Villages! Lifestyle visit is scheduled for September, we'll be looking for a house or a lot! See you when we get there!!

Feel your pain - it was 23 degrees in NC mtns. My life style visit was in February and I just this morning put a contract on my new home in Hammock /Fenny. So anxious to get there! Jan 18 my closing!!! Enjoy your visit. And hope you get settled soon.

I have 3 sets of china. One belonged to my late mother, one to my grandmother and one is mine. I plan to take it with me. I can still hear my grandmother saying "what are you saving it for? Use it!". I told my husband I'd get rid of my everyday dishes and use the china. If I'm serving tea to my friends, family and neighbors, don't they deserve the best?

Glitch at the post office which has lasted a month? This is why I have been beating the drum for nearly four decades on why the USPS needs to be privatized. I guarantee you this would not have happened if this was UPS, FedEx, or DHL, this would not have happened, But I digress. Great video. Watching from bitter cold NW Wisconsin.
Yep 👍. My post office was playing games with my credit card bill. It was always late. I canceled the card and got one through my local bank. When it’s do I pay at the bank. Problem solved. Any way I can I try to not use the USPS. 👎
Hens make a tremendous racket every morning. When they lay an egg, they announce it until they’re hoarse.
Linda perhaps you could start a gourmet club! You have salad at first house, entree at Second House- you could use your china- and the desert at third house.
