It may just be me, but I found this review to be a bit harsh. I’ve driven this vehicle, as well as the BMW and Mercedes mentioned. All 3 have their strengths and weaknesses. While I agree that the Audi’s range is disappointing, I don’t believe power is an issue: 12lb per hp is plenty of giddyup for 99.99% of the population. As for the price? That’s negotiable. And given the current state of the economy as well as the EV Market, there will surely be room there.
Subjectively speaking, the BMW is monstrously ugly, and has a giant iPad for a dashboard (an unfortunate and lazy trend these days). The Benz is nice looking, but has the same dashboard ugliness. I personally like the overall look of the Audi best, though I do wish the range was better. Other than that, I feel it matches up just fine with it’s competition.
I know Kyle and Alyssa are fans of the etrons. I am considering getting a 2019 just like theirs only in gray. As I was going through investigations I saw there was a recall on the battery modules with no true fix available yet. How concerning is this, if you know. I dont want to burn my house down lololol I have driven a few etrons and like you say it is a very good, comfy car in many ways. The stereo leaves me wanting compared to the bowers and wilkins in Volvos……but I didnt get to test it with iPods and sirius xm on my phone. Love your work and your teams work. I watch your channels quite often. Good work Team ;)

Just bought a 2019 prestige for 29k w 53k miles on it, it’s hella luxury without having to give up 23 mpg in city in a Q8
When you say the German manufacturers are 5 years behind I wonder if they are still that far behind. Audi is coming out with the Q6 e-tron in late 2024(?) will that model with the 800 volt architecture and PPE platform be the point when they catch up and regain their credibility?
1st and most important, what the heck is Francie holding? I can't tell in the video either, it's floofy and has a........straw? I'm so confused.
2nd, not everything needs to be chasing the horsepower dragon, 4.2 in "boost" mode is fine. It's the price that's the problem.

It’s been a minute since I’ve driven in LA. But a general rule of thumb in driving there is stay off the highway. The major streets, like Crenshaw, is not as static. And catching the lights, you can actually drive for some miles. Hopefully the lights are still synced.
Is 500 hp underpowered or is 1000 hp and more overpowered?
I think after the Q6 Etron comes out, this will continue to depreciate and become a bargain like the original etrons. I saw on a local Audi website, a new 2024 q8 etron prestige listed $86k and a similar 2024 used one with 6k miles for $66k. Given the range and future dedicated EV platforms to replace the existing lineup, new this is the underdog but used will be a smarter deal
