- Driving home for Christmas, 500 miles in my AMG GT R! With my first long journey ahead in the new Shmeemobile let's get underway from my place in Frankfurt to get back to London in time for the big day. 500 miles, 750km on the road is clearly nothing for a GT like this, but the AMG GT R being a more hardcore version, let's find out what it's going to be like on the road for a full day.
My AMG GT R should already be expecting a future with many miles as it travels around Europe and possibly even further afield, but this was the first test and long stretch for it to go from Germany to the UK. With a stop along the way there is no question it is now utterly filthy but otherwise with only a small amount of traffic in Belgium (as usual), the journey went without a hitch.

Oh yes many many miles & I did It in a Honda Civic Del Sol (Samba Green) which looks a lot like the Green Monster

mohssin hussain easy to do if kept for few months, try piling on miles and keeping same car 3-5 years, when you sell especially performance cars you lose a lot. Makes sense to trade up early.

Shmee..... Recently new subscriber here. I dont know if you could have chosen a cooler daily driver! It is absolutely amazing to look at and I absolutely love it when you upload GT R videos. I was never a Merc fan until I saw this car on your channel and all your other Merc videos after it, holy cow what a car and what a brand!
I've never driven a car like that but it would be an absolute dream to experience it. I love how humble you are about your cars and in all your videos. A lot of people driving/owning cars like yours can sometimes be a bit more douchey to be frank, and that's why I subscribed to your channel and not theirs. :)

Nice car mate! But black is a tough color to own for a car. It shows every single little scratch, especially when the sun hits it a certain way, AND, much harder to keep clean!

It can do, but with a decent ceramic coating and correct wash procedure, black is fine.
Popular Culture TV Dark colors and lights color look dirty all the time. But driving a grey/bronze car is so boring.
