I’ll say it now, the only way to have a pizza party is everyone gets their own large pizza, I don’t care if you are a child or a tiny woman, large pizza. Then you can have fun and trade slices, you sometimes even end up with more than a large pizza. A pizza party is not a time to cheap out, invitation only, no plus ones, the number of pizzas is the number of people in attendance.

These comments are fascinating because she was on the tonight show a couple days ago, talking about fries and everyone freaking hated her to no ends. So yeah, three years later, everyone thinks she's one of the most unfunny people doing standup. In the past, people loved her.
What!? Watch her new special Get on your knees. She's slim now and the way she words everything is so delightfully intelligent that it's truly a treat to see her work her magic. AND she's hot!! I just love her face.

Why is it a big deal that she makes jokes about food? Food and eating are a huge part of society; it's something we do multiple times every day.. Very pervasive. Plenty of people talk about food in comedy, and rightly so. Also, this is a small time slot she working in. When you're only doing a 5-6 minute set, it's best to stick to one or two general topics, to utilize the most of that time. Honestly, it makes me sad to see her making jokes specifically deprecating women and trying to distance herself from them as a group, doing the whole "they act this silly way and I act this other 'normal' (masculine) way, so I'm better than them" bit. I think food culture is really interesting, and yes, we should definitely examine (and thus find comedy in) the ways people act or think they are supposed to act in regard to eating. But not by making fun of women about the twisted ways society has taught them to think about and interact with food. Some might say that the attitude of being "obsessed with food," as Novak proclaims herself to be, is just as mentally and physically unhealthy as the mindset of the women she puts down who are anxious around food or think they have to fit into those stereotypical behaviors. I'd rather see comedy about how these ideas come to be in the first place, or mocking the stereotypes themselves, not another female comedian showing off her internalized misogyny. :( I hope she grows as a comedian as she progresses.
I see what you're saying, but I think the whole nacho "farce" (as she described it) is not deprecating women, but rather demonstrating the performance of femininity and delicacy women have to do everyday. She doesn't say she's different than them, she says that she also gets "caught up" in the silly "wow these nachos are so big" nonsense-and she makes the distinction between public/private performance--i.e. with a group of women, we all create this false perception of ourselves to be women, yet at home we are able to be ourselves.
Only the taco part produced a positive reaction from me.

She was HORRIBLE. her delivery was weak and she was very awkward. She looked nervous as hell, too. I did not laugh once. Her material was also weak. It had potential with the pizza story, but the story got nowhere and was long. She's an amateur, u can tell. We won't be hearing much of her in the near future. She doesn't have the IT factor. She'll be waitressing soon. And btw, bullshit on the 3 slices she eats. I bet it's at least 6 slices.. minimum. no way 3 will fill her up.

I take my stand up very seriously. i am an expert and i can spot out a funny person in under 4 seconds. you either got it, or you don't.. and this woman does NOT have it. sorry. u can't teach funny. u are either born with it, or you're not.

You don't like her, fine, taste is subjective and whatever reasons you have I'm usre make sense to you.
