Stormtroopers were clones for a long time for George Lucas up until he started to fade away the idea and then let it ust be ambiguous. He never said they were recruits. This is why they are all from the same species. Yeah, the expanded universe authors tried to make Palpatine racist but that was before Ep II and III came out.

The Force can be used actively to produce a variety of effects like telekinesis or telepathy but but it can also be a passive buff, guiding the wielder in their movements. It's how Jedi like Yoda who were hella old and frail looking could literally bounce off the walls and in fact how many force-sensitives survive intense combat. Rey embraced the force and let it guide her, that's how she was able to suddenly turn the tide on Ren.

Luke had an introduction to the Force and some basic lessons from Obiwan. Rey had nothing. That's the difference.
Luke channeled the Force in order to properly time his shot to blow up the Death Star, after having received that basic training from Obiwan earlier on how to become one with the Force. What is the second instance that you are referring to, because this is all I can remember. He didn't do anything that he hadn't been instructed on how to do.
Rey managed to not only resist the mind probe of a trained Darksider but also to turn the tables on him, Mind Trick a soldier, win a Force Pull competition against trained Darksider again, and channel the Force to guide her in saber combat. All with no guidance or training of kind.
I'll let you decide which character has the bigger asspulls.
It was bullshit, and they knew it. That's why they had to come up with an explanation for her abilities in the TFA Novel that released the following year. That's a pattern that will keep repeating itself in the sequel trilogy. Plot holes/discrepancies in the movies are left for the books to try and explain away. A sure sign of poor script writing.
For the record it's not like I'm just on some sequel trilogy hate bandwagon. Comparatively speaking, it never really sat well with me how quickly Luke seemed to advance in such a short time with Yoda. At first I didn't think much of it, but the prequels kind of recontextualized that for me. The Jedi of that era spent their entire childhood training. Quite literally. Taken at such a young age that they can't even remember their parents or form any attachments to family. So we're talking they are probably taken by 5 years old, and they spend the next decade training.
Compared to that, Luke progresses exponentially faster. But at least he had guidance and training from some of the best ever. Rey never had either.

The Starkiller Base (Death Star 2.0) was once the planet Ilum (ill yum) where young Jedi had gone to construct their first lightsabers due to the planet being the practical main source of Kyber crystals (what gives the lightsaber its color and blade). The Empire had overmined the planet creating the trench (where the Starkiller cannon was held) for the crystals, giving the First Order a head start on a new planet destroyer.

The main issue I see with these sequel movies is that they try to hit story beats too quickly.
The other movies took their time to develop characters and gave reasons for their actions.
These movies take the cheap way out and do a lot of “hey you remember that thing from the other movies you liked? Well here it is, without any of the set up”.

Yeah, there is no patience anywhere in the storytelling. My interpretation is that each director was simply there to make their mark. Like a dog taking a piss and marking his territory. Because their careers are more important than the movies they create. Well, that comes down to bite you sooner or later. Especially if you enter such a beloved franchise and try your own thing with it.

Using a lightsaber efficiently can be difficult and dangerous for non-Force users. Very easy to maim and injure yourself when using it. Since The Force grants its users a certain level of foresight and more instinctive reflexes, Force users are much better at wielding lightsabers. Finn admirably stood his ground and even managed to get a lucky hit against Kylo Ren, but he was at a major disadvantage.

Clones are only viable for like 3 "generations". After that, they start having rampant birth defects (i.e. physical deformities, developmental issues, or mental disorders), so they were all phased out shortly after the formation of the galactic empire. If you go through the animated shows, you'll eventually get to "the bad batch", which explores this eventually, along with the Darth Vader comics that came out a few years ago. If you don't feel like reading it, there's a CZcams video of a dude who narrates the whole thing with a scroll of pages.

This movie breaks my damn heart. It was a decent foray, a new era of film with a story that originally (the novel's good) was going to bring a lot to the plate, reinvigorate the entire concepts of the Light and Dark Sides of the Force.
And then the fuster cluck behind the scenes that ravaged the narrative and it just... yeah like I said, breaks my damn heart. It wasn't earth-shatteringly good, this movie, but it was at least some new Star Wars on the big screen that wasn't bad.

You need to watch the television shows. Even though some of the series are cartoons, they are not "just for kids"... Start with the Clone Wars, once you finish that series you will look at Revenge of the Sith so differently. Star Wars Rebels is also a cartoon and it sets the stage for a lot of the live action television series that follow. If you thought the movies were good, the television shows have some even more powerful moments.

For YEARS in the 80's when the OG Trilogy was still hot, there was a TON of plans to bring the gang back together, that just never happened. Star Wars turned the main cast into superstars, commanding HUGE salaries, and in high demand. Everyone except Harrison Ford left that door open. If the project was right, the director was right, the schedule is right etc. Harrison never liked Star Wars. During that time, he had one single condition for returning as Han Solo; that his character would be killed off. So I knew that Han would die in some way, shape or form in this movie. Alec Guiness (the OG Obi-Wan) famously was contemptuous of Star Wars. He was Old Hollywood royalty. Alec was one of the headliner names in 1977. Peter Cushing (Grand Moff Train) was paid by the line in the final cut of the movie, so the more he's onscreen, the more he get's paid.

Don’t know if you’d see this comment but you asked about “Real life Star Wars games” you should play, and I figured I’d recommend some.
1: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Without spoiling story, here is the concept. Sith Assassin. Sith dude that Hunts people and kiIIs people. Not saying more than that. There are multiple versions tho that all have a bit of uniqueness to each of them. The main 2 that people play and remember is the Wii/PS2 version (which is on the Nintendo Switch if you have it) and the Xbox 360/PS3 version (which is on PC as well). Same overall plot and all I believe, but also some differences like extra levels or different levels in general between the 2. And the Wii version (also on switch as stated) has a multiplayer dual mode, while the other versions do not.
2: Star Ware: The Force Unleashed 2. Honestly I don’t think I ever beat this one as a kid, and don’t remember much of the plot other than it being a direct continuation of the first game. However, I did hear many good things on it and I do remember having fun on it. This does not have multiple versions I think. It’s also on PC.
3: Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. This is like a Star Wars game that takes very loose inspiration from the souls games (like Dark Souls or Elden Ring) however it is significantly easier and even has difficulty options. I enjoyed the story a lot and just running around and exploring and fighting stuff. I think you’d enjoy. Available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4/PS5, and PC.
4: Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. Now I have yet to play this game but it is a sequel to Jedi Fallen Order. And I enjoyed that game and think I’d enjoy this one. Plus I’ve heard good things about it. Didn’t do well at launch tho due to optimization issues.
5: Star Wars: Republic Commando. Oldy, but a goody. Star Wars first person shooter where you and a group of clones are fighting through many battles that took place during the Clone Wars. You and your group are “commandos”, the best of the best. Essentially the special forces for the Republic. You can command your squad to do actions like breaching a door or focus fire on an enemy or move them from position to position or even to revive other teammates, or even yourself. Available on Xbox (backwards compatible on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S) and an HD version is on PS4/PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
Don’t know if you will see this, but if you do (and I hope you do), these are my personal recommendations for you. Apologies for the long comment.

Episode 7 is still great, for me it's better than Episode 1.
Unfortunately, the next one "The Last Jedi" is the worst, it had the most amount of unecessary moments and broke the important rules of this universe for the plot like 4 times, which is the most amount from all 9 main Star Wars movies.
I think new fans may think that Episode 9 is the worst then, but in my opinion it's better than Episode 8 and worse than Episode 7.
