- Hello guys,
Thank you for watching the video. It's been a long time since I last uploaded the video. I am in Japan now and I always wanted to make an Interview video when I was in Europe. Of course, not all Ukrainians here speak Japanese well as she does so other refugees might have much different life, but hopefully, it gives you a bit of an image of their lives here in Japan.

I accidentally came across this channel and this video. I'm also from Ukraine, just like Anastasia. It's ironic that I started learning Japanese a month before the full-scale invasion. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to continue this since February. I hope that after the victory I will have the opportunity to return to this business and one day I will rewatch this video without subtitles. Thank you for the content, Jin from Japan.

I hope your circumstances change soon so that you may be able to continue your studies. FYI, the Japanese government and universities have special scholarships and financial assistance for Ukrainians.

Envious of her Japanese! Here in the USA we nod a lot too. Or at least where I live.
I hope they all return to ukraine as soon as possible its good they are safe but when whole of european countries are accepting them theirs no need to travel all the way to japan it makes no sense at all

If she didn't study Japanese before moving there that is truly impressive.
Even though she seems a bit sad because she misses her family she also seems to really enjoy being in Japan which is great and at least she's safer than If she was still in Ukraine.

Also looks like you ,missed what said, she studied Japanese in university back home and her dream to come to Japan.
She used the war situation to fly to Japan with a free trip.
@@luckywetland yeah I did miss that still even though it has happened not the way she would of wanted at least she has achieved that goal hopefully her family is safe and one day they can go back home.

She was studying Japanese at uni in Ukraine prior to applying for refugee status.

普段は家族がみんなが安全な場所に避難するけど、ウクライナで住んでた場所は安全なのに、一人だけ避難したのはなぜ？
Older people just won't leave their home until there's no other way (like house is completely destroyed, and even then..). Especially those, who grew up in the USSR, they are not easy to accept change and move to another place. Even when their house is bombed and living in their home is not safe.
why don't you look for malaysians living in japan 🙃 for sure they brought malaysian name to japan

@Paul W.A That's because you don't know about the refugees in Japan from the Korean War, Vietnam War, Myanmar, etc. Also the Uygurs, Tiberans, Hazara, and Kurds living in Japan. The first Muslim refugees were Tatars after the Russian revolution.
I completely agree. She is from west Ukraine and even says in the video there is a low chance of her hometown being invaded. She saw the opportunity to live in Japan for free for a year and she took it. Smart girl because if any of us had the same opportunity we would take it too.

@@notlecturing you know someone people don’t want to leave their home even if it’s dangerous, it depends on people. So maybe her family just didn’t want to leave but she did. Even if it’s a chance why not? Maybe she can have a better life in Japan.

岡山県の総社市役所とか千葉県の鎌ケ谷市役所などで、日本語喋れないくせに特別に勤務されるのは一番おかしくてマジ腹が立つ。
しかも特別にテレビに出たり、市長と面会したりして、そういう特別扱いを見たことないです。
でも、その高待遇を考えられる説があります。
簡単に言えば、アメリカはロシアと仲悪い。日本もロシアとあの北の島で争ってる。
それで、国はアメリカの指示通り、ロシアに制裁を適用して、わざとウクライナ難民受け入れて高待遇して、マスコミで見せてる感じですね。
彼女のように日本が好きで日本語を学んでる人々はずっと日本にいて欲しいです。
逆にクルド人のように犯罪ばかりで危険な人々は日本には要らない。同様に日本語の出来ない外国人に日本に住まわれても正直困る。
