- Riding urban MTB downhill in Mexico is insane! I ride the steep streets of Puerto Vallarta on my Enduro mountain bike finding gnarly stairs, gap jumps and ramps. This place is perfect for freeride shredding, would you send it?
Me and Tom Cardy explore the Mexican town of Puerto Vallarta on our enduro mountain bikes and search for the steepest and most technical downhill stairs and freeride lines that are dotted around this crazy place. I was here once before to race an urban downhill race which ended down by the beach and was filled with huge jumps and wooden features so we try to follow the same way down but find a whole load more exciting stuff as we go. I shot most of the riding with my GoPro and the best shots were from the MAX camera giving and almost computer game feel to it! So join us on our ride down this urban downhill track, would you ride here?

Sam, if you ever get to travel to Croatia, there's an island called Susak just 9km from Losinj. It's just 3 miles around, no cars and a mountain made of sand (that's another story). 2 sets of insane stairs. Front and back. Back set is steep, quick and crazy and both will easily take you 3 minutes to traverse down. I've climbed them many times. Takes me 45 minutes. Lol. Love the videos mate

I always like seeing you and Tom Cardy in videos together! One of these days someone is going to walk out their door and get creamed on their front stair set by Sam Pilgrim and friends on their bikes! Those were some gnarly stair sets in Mexico.

This brings back memories! I walked a ton of the same stairs and was attacked by a dog too, on my trip to PV two years ago! So good to see you and Tom doing epic sends in this great part of Mexico! There's a steep hillclimb I tried riding up on a Mexican free bike of sorts, on Angela Peralta behind the Oasis Hostel. Might be worth checking out?

Jumping stairs look way more fun than in the 70's. I destroyed early BMX bikes riding Cal campus in Berkeley. Bad tech back then. Everything either bent or snapped off.

Love it!! I'm going to find some stairsets of doom around here. Texas is flat though, might have to go to a football stadium to find enough stairs to ride down. The would be a cool series, bombing all the football stadiums over there in Europe.

You should check go to Mexico City and check out Desierto de Los Leones. It's an amazing MTB heaven with 100's of trails down a mountain. You could spend a whole week there and not finish all the trails they have.

Awesome riding! You should try the Midsund stairs in the northwest of Norway. 3200 steps and 659 meters of elevation
