Anton Jensen I tried every location. There’s only 1 rock solid way to find animals now, you have to use the solo lobby glitch.
Works every time, just sucks that a lot of us have to resort to breaking the game to play it how it was intended.

The Blue
1. you start the game at the online menu
>don’t select free roam or camp or any of the top 3 options.
2. Select “Elimination series” from the online menu
3. Immediately after the game loads you into the elimination match, exit out of the match.
4. Wait for the game to spawn you in.
>DO NOT MOVE ONCE YOU SPAWN
>open your player menu up and go to online options and then turn off “social matchmaking”
>9/10 you end up spawning in the map next to manzanita post, regardless, open your map and find the nearest fast travel location.
>head to the fast travel location ASAP and go straight to your camp.
5. Once at your camp rest at the campfire.
>once the “cook” and “leave” options appear, open your player menu again and go to “change appearance”
>it will ask you to confirm. Do it. (It didn’t cost you anything unless you make a change to your character, which you don’t do)
6. Sit in the change appearance for 2-3 minutes.
>set a timer on your phone or watch a clock, either way, it needs to be 2-3 minutes.
>afterwards, exit the change appearance menu.
7. Now if you check your player menu, you’ll either be in an empty or near empty lobby (1 to 2 players). It’ll stay that way for about 30 minutes to an hour tops. So make the most out of your hunting then.
You can hunt for a whole lot longer if you do this and invite a friend to your posse and have them idle in your camp after entering the new game. I manage to only have to do this 1 to 2 times a day to fill my stocks to the brim. Best places to hunt with the maximum amount of time allowed before it merges you into a regular game is in the Grizzlies in my experience.
Fair warning though, don’t try to complete missions whenever you finish hunting though, it’ll crash your game or put you in a loading screen loop. So if you want to do missions when you do this, you’ll have to reload the game.

I would just love undead nightmare again. They’ve already done the ground work for a solid zombie survival game with the health cores and looting food, and random goodies. Sometime last week I packed a 6 pack of bottled water and trekked 5670 miles to the nearest moonshiner and told him to fill his jugs up with pelicans to spread the good word of your channel. I also gave him 2 of the 6 bottles so he can be hydrated and also his buckled cousin. The rest I gave to a Italian guy I saw on the way back
