    Kevin you are a real teacher. I am a self-taught and non native English teacher and to be honest with you English is by far the trickiest language to master. I have been learning English almost all my age but I am not still there. you are truly helping millions achieve their goals. I know you are working day and night to make us happy and confident in our English skills and we value your endeavor from the bottom of our hearts. Why do many non-native speakers teach American English on CZcams with so many mistakes? People end up learning incorrect grammar and pronunciation. As a non-native speaker myself, I've made the same mistakes as those self-proclaimed online teachers, but we should learn from our errors. I strongly believe they should consider hiring someone to correct their English before posting videos to educate others.

  • @fredylopez2477

    So, "screw over" could be a synonym for "rip off" right Kevin ?.

  • @fredylopez2477
    @fredylopez2477 Před 3 měsíci

    Hi Kevin,
    I think there's a synonym for;
    "To unscrew" and that is;
    "To screw OFF"
    Is that correct Kevin ?.
    So.
    "To screw ON the bottle".
    = TAPAR la botella.
    "To screw OFF the bottle".
    = DESTAPAR la botella

  • @fredylopez2477
    @fredylopez2477 Před 3 měsíci

    - Take the bottle cap off
    = Quita la tapa de la botella.
    - Then.
    = después
    - Screw the bottle cap back ON.
    = Enrosque la tapa de la botella otra vez (nuevamente).
    This is why you gotta use:
    "To screw ON"
    -"to screw on" = enroscar.

    Why "students usually confuse cap and lid", not A cap and A lid?

  • @RachelWang-ub6gc

    Can I say "The students are confused the lid with the cap." ?

  • @2chill2
    @2chill2 Před 3 měsíci

    Shouldn't it be "students confuse a cap and a lid"? Caps and lids are countable nouns, and you need an article.

  • @Agriotes
    @Agriotes Před 3 měsíci +4

    I don't understand. These teachers see your videos why they go on with doing the mistakes. Why don't they develop futher videos more attentively?

    • @fredylopez2477
      @fredylopez2477 Před 3 měsíci +1

      I think it'd sound better if you said it this way;
      - "KEEP ON MAKING the mistakes".
      Well, the answer is easy buddy, it's just because they're very arrogant and they don't accept they can make mistakes too, like everybody else and that includes Kevin & Liza 'cause we're all human beings and we're not perfect therefore we make mistakes.
      There are people who don't like to be critized, they really believe that having a degree in something stops them from making mistakes but they're wrong,
      BUT the fact that they can make mistakes doesn't mean they're wrong all the time, they can be right and correct in most of the things they teach and say.
      Thanks for reading my comment.

    But I'm still not agree with "in the chair" in stead of "on the chair". Could you explain that please?

    • @jaxxon98
      @jaxxon98 Před 3 měsíci +2

      You sit "in" a chair or seat and "on" a stool.

    • @fredylopez2477
      @fredylopez2477 Před 3 měsíci +3

      - I still DON'T AGREE.

    • @fredylopez2477
      @fredylopez2477 Před 3 měsíci +2

      I'm not Kevin but I'll try, you use the preposition "IN" for wide spaces like a city or country and for closed spaces like a chair too, examples:
      - I live IN Los Angeles.
      - I live IN The United States.
      - I wanna sit (down) IN this chair (only a chair 'cause it's a closed space)
      BUT.
      When you use an airplane seat, a bus seat, movie seat etc... you gotta use the preposition "ON", examples:
      - sit down ON that seat.
      Or.
      - sit "ON" that seat.
      - sit ON the bench.
      - sit ON that stool.
      You also use "ON" for flat surfaces like a table where you can make contact, example:
      - sit (down) ON that table.
      - sit ON the beach.
      but you have to try to memorize how to use those prepositions.
      I hope I helped you understand.👍.

    • @user-wc4yl9ek1m
      @user-wc4yl9ek1m Před 3 měsíci

      You are sitting in a chair, not on a chair.
      But if there's something on the chair like a jacket we use on the chair.
      If we are talking about a sofa/couch then you are sitting on the sofa or on the couch.

    • @fredylopez2477

      Well, I think she pronounced it correctly, it's the use of the word that's wrong, I mean, what's wrong is the use of the word.
      If she'd pronounced it wrongly, Kevin would've said it
      Don't you think ?.

    • @20ilincsh
      @20ilincsh Před 3 měsíci

      @@fredylopez2477Hi, I know what ling291 is talking about. It’s “ChinGlish” (Chinese-English), in Chinese schools, Chinese English teachers tech children to pronounce “sGy”, sBring, sGrew, sDart 😂
      You’ll never find this pronunciation rule in any American or British pronunciation book, but you’ll easily find Chinese CZcams teachers who teach this “pronunciation”.
      The funny thing is that some Chinese English teachers say that this is American pronunciation, but another group of Chinese English teachers say that this is British pronunciation, so they have no idea what they’re talking about .
      And you won’t find this sG or sD in any American or British pronunciation book.

    • @20ilincsh
      @20ilincsh Před 3 měsíci

      你好👋.
      Well l, first of all, NOT /sgu:/ or /sku:/ because there is /r/ right after /c/.
      Second, This is exclusively a feature of Chinese schools, where Chinese English teachers teach children to pronounce words this way.
      Please stop it, it’s NOT sGool, it’s “school”.
      Ling, you have VPN, so I think you know how to use “CZcams”, choose 『播放速度』,然後選擇『0.25』、『0.5』、『0.75』.
      Kevin does not pronounce ChineseEnglish “sG” because no one does. Nowhere in Europe or in Latin America English teachers teach Sg (sky) or Sd (study). 掰掰
      Or please, tell me at least ONE American or British pronunciation book where they teach this weird rule sk->sd, sp -> sb and etc. there’s none.
