    My family found this movie at thrift store for 25¢ knew nothing about it and we watched it all the way through every Saturday night for about two months was ahead of it's time and we know why it wasn't advertised

    I absolutely love this movie. I remember watching it years ago when I was little. It was on a Christian tv channel but I only got to watch the epic final battle and the second coming scene. It wasn’t till years later that I rewatched it in its entirety and was further amazed by it.
    Despite some of the biblical misinterpretations and unusual alliance(USA, Mexico and China joining forces), this has got to be one of the best end times films created so far. With it’s few flaws aside, I feel that this film is relevant now more than ever for us members of the Christendom.
    I don’t think there are that many other Christian end times films that have come close to replicating the powerful message of this film with the exceptions being the “Left behind” film series and “The remaining”. Although those films aren’t as memorable as this film.

    Michael York is right up there with Charlton Heston in his old school Shakespearian unmatched acting skills.

    The 7 headed beast out of the sea is different the 7 headed dragon which is satan. These are definitely 2 separate entities. The beast and the false prophet are thrown alive into the lake of fire, while the dragon is captured and thrown into the bottomless pit.

    Loved this movie, my friend used to tell me about it when I was 11 years, finally watched it when I was old, I didn't care about the CGI loved the message, I love it better that omega code because of the devil scene, anyway good review please review End of Days

      Yeah the stuff with the devil and Stone's past is better than The Omega Code. But as a whole, I enjoyed the Bible code storyline, the two prophets, and some of the complexity of Stone's character better in The Omega Code. But that's just me. Both movies are fun to watch.

      True the storyline in omega code was good, but imagine the devil pointing to the sun and it becomes dark, as a kid it scared me.

    Jesus: Say Uncle!
    Satan: Ok, Ok You win! UNCLE UNCLE!!! 😭

    David becomes Jesus of the House of David. He is acclaimed as the Savior in the roman church. He resists the temptation of Mary Gabrielle, Stone/Satan's temptation of power, and has his moment in the Garden of Gethsemane, though the budget reduces it to a few bushes and a stunted tree.
    Michael York has so much fun. He just doesn't chew the scenery; it tears it apart with this teeth and swallows it whole.
    Diamanda Hagan has a fun review of this and other apocalypse porn. 'And Gabrielle dies of Catholic guilt.'

    If you do the Left Behind series I'd be down for sure

    Dude, I have this movie & still love it to this day. Also love how there’s no pre-trib rapture as I’m a Historic Premil guy (post-trib). I will say though, there are things that are bad in this movie. I tend to overlook those & focus on the positive though.

    • @ChrisDurban
      @ChrisDurban  Před 2 lety +1

      I try do the same, overlook the negative and enjoy the positive. It is smart, both this and the Omega Code just didn't even mention the rapture. It's amazing how much division we can allow that topic to have. I like the focus on the 2nd coming which is somethig we all agree on.

      @@ChrisDurban preach. And I completely get why this movie gets a “D+” from you. I will say, I love that you also hold to Zechariah 14:4 literally though. That Christ’s feet will stand on the Mt. of Olives & it’ll split in two. What a scene that’ll be when we see that happen.

    • @ChrisDurban
      @ChrisDurban  Před 2 lety +1

      @@antenglish1 It will be amazing to see that happen! Yeah, I believe Jesus is physically returning to this earth. Just as the disciples saw Him leave we'll see Him return with a heavenly host. The D+ is the movie critic in me. It's not a great film. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. I did these videos because it was fun watching these movies again, and it's fun to talk about them.

    "CHAINS?" Lol. I remember preordering this one. I no longer have a theology that supports this eschatological theory, but it is a neat little movie.

    • @ChrisDurban
      @ChrisDurban  Před 2 lety +1

      I get what you're saying about eschatological view. It's interesting to me that there are a lot of eschatological ideas this movie and The Omega Code don't even touch on, which I think is purposeful. Whatever end times view we hold I'm sure we can all agree Jesus is coming again, and this was a fascinating (is that the right word, lol) piece of fiction depicting that.
