Ashokan farewell, what a nice piece of music composed in 1982 ! by an jewish American Musician in New York, the Bronx.
Inspired by a scottish culture of lament ...

It was written for a music festival and why does him being jewish AND from the bronx have anything to do with it?

@@ShadowZero27 Don't you know it was a question of a pretty good mix of culture ?

Nice, it needs to be more airy. Cut the drum and concertina on this piece. Try Spanish Lady , O’Rileys Daughter or Colleen of the county down if you haven’t already.

It's a pity about the people talking in the background, showing no respect for the Musicians or for the heritage of the music.

The background noise shows a complete lack of respect! Harp part beautiful, but the rest of it needs to be far more legato. The Ashokan Farewell should not be played as a hard waltz, with a forced beat like this.
