It never fails, when the 1st two don't get the match. Charles always seems to hit the mark on answers that could have been 2 or 3 good answers. I've seen this on at least 10 different shows.
I loved this show back in the 70's, and its been a KICK to watch it again. I had to comment, though, about something I never noticed back then. I think some of the regulars especially got high on their marking pens. Do you notice how they always have them open, and always have them close to their face? Actually, after watching the documentary about the show (available to watch here) some of them actually had a few during the breaks between shows.
This was fun and funny to watch I loved watching this episode of MG Brett Charles and Richard funny as ever and the rest were good too I'm from Australia and ty!!!!
I was watching an episode from 1974 earlier today, that had the same Audience Match. Ray_________. The three on that one, from the top, down, were, Charles, Gun, and Milland.
i watched a 5m clip and saw no point: i didn't recognize any of the ''celebrities'', and it was more of the same..to the latter, there are some things that can only be done once and work..MG is one of those things..so when was the last time anyone in Hollywood actually came across with an original idea - as opposed to one rehash/remake, reimaging/reimagining after the other?????...and let's not get into the sequel-go-round...
"Match Game" was the "Love Boat" of game shows. Every has-been or D grade celebrity; performers who were either in-between television series or guest appearances had at one time or another presented themselves on the program presumably as a way of bridging their liabilities until the next gig.
I don't get the Panty Hose response. My first response was Panties..... Panty Hose doesn't even come close to briefs and also have you never noticed that Richard Betty match each other like 90% of the time

Once everyone started "hamming it up" to the hilt, and that included Gene, the show really took off.
