I dont agree with the quantity of steel. Firstly the steel quantity you mentioned is very low. Secondly, if you are talking about Bahria construction, they are usually going for raft and piling these days. Raft has been almost considered mandatory these days whether your soil report suggests cut area or not. If its filling, then piling is must. If you go for raft, it requires atleast 4-5 tons steel. If piling is required, depending upon the structure of house, approx. on avg 25 piles with an average depth of 25-30ft and 1 feet dia is being done these days. So, it adds another 6-7 tons steel apart from cement, crush, sand. Thirdly, Bahria/DHA are going for column structure so steel and cement are increased more.
