- Hello and welcome to Train Simulator Classic!
We're back on the Huddersfield Lines today driving an Abellio/Serco Class 158 on a stopping service between Leeds and Huddersfield. I've driven this route quite a few times now, not to mention worked over it countless times so I think now would be the ideal time to drive it with NO HUD!
Scary, but I really think we'll be able to get through it! We're taking 158 849 from Leeds to Huddersfield, and we're calling at: Cottingley, Morley, Batley, Dewsbury, Ravensthorpe, Mirfield, Deighton and Huddersfield.

I remember 158849 having a little trip off the Road in Sheffield Station many moons ago! A mad sight in this bright yellow livery
Always enjoy driving without the HUD; it improves your route knowledge :)
Also looking forward to the TPE network ATS announced the other day! It'll mean we'll be able to do Liverpool to Leeds via Chat Moss/Warrington and Man Picc/Vic!

If you press I think F5 then it comes up with some text about the controls which can help without the HUD

HUDless is the best way to play! I recommend the ATS Kings Lynn - Kings Cross route HUDless, its beautiful 😁

One thing that I have noticed that isn’t in TSW that is really immersion breaking is that trains shake in TSC!!! In TSW the train is completely smooth and so it doesn’t feel like your moving. Something that would be good please DTG please
Especially in the ATS 185! Wobbling all over the place. Like driving a plate of jelly!
Yes I like that the rocking motion and g force is simulated in train sim classic.
fantastic video again joe i do love the 158s but i can remember the days off 158 153 but the leeds Huddersfield is now by TPE was northern abellio but them days was the best

If I remember rightly Gareth Dennis did a sort of 158 retrospective on Railnatter a year or two ago.
You’d be happy to know 158’s on the Great Western Network still do regional services (Portsmouth - Cardiff) which is a total of 140 miles and around 3 hours and 19 minutes to complete!
I genuinely think that the only thing missing from TSW is the routes north of London, as I’m getting sick of driving the electrostars every year, and I feel like I would play TSW a lot more

Sorry in advance if these are some noob questions but I literally just got train simulator classic yesterday: how can you get the GSM-R In Cab Radio on the Class 158 sprinter bc it's not there for me and secondly is there a way other than in the briefing for a scenario to see the PIS code of the station(s)?

@@JoeDobsongaming it closed in 2020 then looking at Google Street View it seems the car park with the sign became a car wash then that must have died too lol, I never got to see it in person 😔

joe once you installed the ap track pack how do you get it to work on tsc routes
The AP track patch automatically installs on the compatible routes, this version is not released yet as far as I'm aware :)
