Tbh there needs to be a UKF trap channel for this stuff. It's not dubstep. And while I usually can NOT vibe with Moore Kismet's sound, this one (probably because of Wavedash) is good. But again, not dubstep.
This is not trap. It has a bassline. It is dubstep. 140bpm. Moore kismet been a dubstep act since foreverm
Trap has 808 kicks.
This has nothing to do with a trap music audience.
I don't know why trap fans don't get this.
Trap fans should have a culture for the 808 bassdrum. Still they try to make it seem like dubstep ish stuff that no trap fan will ever listen to would work as edm trap. Edm trap as it was born had hip hop 808s. Now trap city stuff is simply more dubstep ish. We could say edm trap is dead unless some artist can bring some 808s and make them work in the music industry. I feel edm trap is trying too hard nowadays. Putting sounds and weird basslines everywhere. That is bass music. Trap is hip hop and there the roots need to stay for it to work.
Trap is a simple formula and i see they try too hard to make something unique and weird in trap.
Yellow Claw is proper edm trap.
Hucci. Some troyboi but even troyboi label some of his s9ngs as dubstep. This is not trap.

A good example of this style of dubstep can be Good Space by skrillex. You can hear the bassline is separate from the kick.
Trap has long kicks and no bassline. For example Ratata is trap.
I would have agreed on 'Chee - Void Gate' here on ukf cause that's a hybrid trap track.

In the same way dubstep is strictly 140 bpm and that should be a culture!
You can't attack fans stating actual facts when a track here is drumstep/halftime. You can't say 'shut up nerd' to an audience that isn't wrong. It just shows the disrespect for the 140 bpm culture. You are literally calling your channels ukf 140bpm and ukf 170bpm to differenciate. Do it well. Or at least accept constructive criticism especially when it's correct
Genres have their own strengts and powers but i see there is too much confusion.
Anyways. This could be labeled as future bass. Which came from edm trap combined with some melodic dubstep bass. I just feel future bass is more melodic bass electronic music rather than trap and hip hop.
It can't be wrong to say a future bass track is also melodic dubstep if it's 140/150bpm. Future bass is a fusion genre.
Pop also has an influence on Future Bass like Chainsmokers
