As an African born person living in America, I wish my Brothers and Sisters that were born here learn more about their true identities. Africa is rich in resources but our greatest resource were stolen and brough to America, denied of education, cultural practices, and etc. Learn more about Africa and visit one day.

I wish all HBCU's had this forum take place on an annual basis. So many young minds would increase in consciousness if all black institutions did this.

It's 2016 and am just now watching this very meaningful conversation; it's a blast of hopefulness, way better than the crap circulating the web about African VS African American.

Thank you Rebecca. Absolutely! This conversation was recorded almost 10 years ago and I do plan to revisit it, this time with funding and research about current efforts that are working. Thank you for the thoughtful feedback!

This is progress, but we must also be aware of informants infiltrating our organizations for purposes of disbanding and dissolving our hopes and dreams for each other. It has happened many times in the past and should be looked at as an extremely important lesson as we carry out our strategies.

i so much love this. i hate it when people say im African american im African british but you dont have any connection to your continent. we are most hated people in the world eventhough we were not the one that invaded, killed and raped other races but still world is just always on our throat because world know we are capable of everything if we are together and they try as much as possible to create separation all the time. i go crazy when someone that have never been to Africa and you are Africa descendant say oh those people there are poor and hungry, you know what maybe resources have been explored and stolen by same people that wont allow you to be equal with them even though you consider yourself part of them. what i suggest is go home and see for yourself what your continent is doing, connect to your continent, establish there, work with your brothers and sisters, and stop trying to fit in the society that does not care about but themselves only.I know for sure if we all come together under the name Africa to help the continent and our own people we are going to be strongest race and most stable race.

8.24.20 In 2020(hindsight) the time is now to learn how to manifest our unity love support and our own. Wanting & ready to unlearn to relearn who I am in every fashion with the help from my BLACK Africans around the world is something I long for but dont know how to bring that to light. I would love to go to BLACK south america BLACK African etc etc to get educated on who & what we are and build mentally socially economically financially from our experiences... i love and is starting to be in love with my people

This series missed it's opportunity, such a shame. Perhaps financing or time constraints. But the conversations that millennials are having on this subject, feature many of the same points. But they're much more hostile and separatist. The economic ideas aren't as fleshed out as they are in this video. The Diaspora Wars of the current generation could do with the considered approach in this programme.
