I don’t know man.. there’s over 10k invested in my DR lol. I’ll say that the 701/690 platform is the only true dual sport Husky and KTM make. Everything else is a plated dirt bike and nothing more. My buddy Tom has that 701 set up well. Suspension done up, rekluse and rally tower. He’s also a better rider than I am as I’m hardly on the bike anymore. He had a KLR before he bought that 2016 701 from a friend of mine and he rode the shit out of that too. I love my DR though. Wish I could spend more time on it. Life is in the way this summer.
The 701 is a superior machine , but the DR is an enjoyable ride , and your bank account prefers the DR 👍
