- On our last day at royal blue and tackett creek ole ticky finally let go. she had a good run lol. It is a 2016 Yamaha yxz that the engine blew up on. Were unsure why as of now.

Machine details:
Justins machine is a 2019 Can-am X3 XRS. It is 72" wide and 172 horsepower. Suspension is setup to the fox tune. It is running 32x14x10 sticky Maxxis Roxxzilla tires. It has a Evo Powersports Shocker cat delete exhaust.
Billys machine is a 2017 yxz 1000r with graves exhaust, tune, 70/30 gytr gear reduction, heavy flywheel, 30" maxxis bighorn tires, 14x7 5+2 Method 401 wheels, weller tie rods, krash offroad cage, bumpers,
sliders, warn 3500lb winch, and simpson suspension seats.
Joshs rig is a 2017 yxz1000r with Super Atv 4" 30% Portals, graves exhaust, tune, 30" maxxis Roxxzilla tires, krash offroad cage, rear bumper, sliders, 70/30 gear reduction, and heavy flywheel.

What a bummer with ol tricky! Going to be interesting to see which way you guys go After this. Josh keeps making subtle hints about a new machine in the future for Billy. I have very much enjoyed watching you guys and your adventures and transformation of machines and adventures so no matter which way Billy decides to go whether it’s a different machine like you Justin or whatever your guys plan is I will continue to watch because I enjoy and believe in what you guys do. Guys need a little help. First off love the new turbo s. I have a 2019. AA has awesome tunes and he is awesome to work with. I’m from Ohio and we are in lock down so we are looking for a place to ride and was thinking Tackett creek. Wondering where u guys stayed at.

Canam makes a quiet kit for the x3 now. They are insulated intake clutch tubes that make a world of difference when paired with the relocate kit. And the liner for the clutch cover
Definitely get the intake relocation kit really helps with the noise

I had same diff locking issue with my 2018 x3 RC It was the dash switch. Dealer actually just removed it, checked connections, cleaned it and reinstalled and has been fine for 2200 miles.
If your not gonna fix her then I vote the new yxz XTR or pro XP. The old yxz been pretty damn good to ya though, wouldn’t feel bad getting a new one, that gold and black Xtr that comes with the winch and other accessories. Good luck.
Really regretting not getting one of those kinetic ropes after watching this when I ordered a few weeks back. Definitely going to have to pick one up after all the crap is done going around.

Don't know when this was recorded but yesterday I noticed that the Kawasaki kxy 1000 is on sale at many places. Seen one for 14999 but a lot between 15999 and 17999 that really good for a 21000 sxs

For a machine that wasn't necessarily made for this terrain they have proven pretty durable in the right configuration. Keep Ticky. Lol. If not then R.I.P Ticky. Rebuild videos would be pretty cool. Keep up the great work!!
kelleyperformance50 I bought a new YXZ last week. One of the things that swayed to get one, is how these guys rode the piss out of them. I won’t be putting mine through anything like what they do, so it should last me a very long time.

Billy Get a X3! I really want to see what he can do with one, he has a deft touch IMO both on positioning a line and how hard he is pushing the machine at which points.
As much as I would like to see different machines to compare side by side over the same obstacles, it feels like the "best choice" all things considered.

With the Visco-Lok differential, the wheel has to slip for the differential lock to engage. The spinning axle engages a hydraulic pump in the differential which, in turn, engages the clutch pack and locks the differential. ... With Can-Am's new Smart-Lok differential, the clutch pack is engaged by an electronic actuator.
Justin's 2019 Treator has a smartly diff.
I have visco lock & never noticed much wheel spin “yet”. Was going to put arms, frame stiffener, & winch in this summer, might as well throw a Torq locker in while it’s torn down.

Ticky got coronavirus! I hear a lot of ribbing about the can am making it out alive, but its still new. lol If it can rock bounce and rev limit as much as that YXZ and make it past 3k miles with no major failures, it will have been a good one too. lol
Just because it’s new doesn’t mean it can’t break an axle or tie rod or steering rack, lol but yeah it definitely was at an advantage.
@@BlownBudgetOffroad Thats true, even new stuff can break, especially in the rutted and rocky KY and TN trails. I dont own a YXZ or a can am but watching y'alls YXZ's have impressed me. Id almost buy one but just cant get past the low speed control of a CVT machine, plus im a big guy and I think working the clutch would get old for me lol
Hopefully just coil packs mine went out and it was missfireing and sounded like shit but unfortunately most likely rod bearings

For the kinda riding u guys do a krx 1000 would be the best choice and I'm pretty sure can am would have a battle on its hands in the rocks and climbing. Krx looks crazy tough also
