Yeah the 450 is a bit bigger. Deeper and larger so will carry more gear. The 450 would serve better if you are going to expand. As an example I also have a whistler 450 for the times in need to carry everything and the kitchen sink with me on a shoot. 😂
Great review and demo. I think I've finally decided to go with an actual "camera" bag instead of my hiking backpack. I shoot Micro Four Thirds so the size should work fine. This bag looks like it has everything I'm looking for, especially the access from the back so I can lay the pack down on it's front and not muddy up the side I'll have against my back. @@rinzevnrossum Should be just fine. I ended up getting the smaller version bag (250 AW) as I do a bit of plane travel and I wanted no question about carry-on or under seat fit. I just returned from 10 days in Colorado and Utah, National Park visiting. In the back camera area of my smaller 250 AW, I had my E-M1 Mk2, with 12-100 Pro lens attached, Olympus 9-18 Wide angle, Canon P&S camera, battery chargers for both cameras. spare batteries, filters for the 12-100, small case of SD cards, spare lens and body caps, lens cloths, Peak Design Slide Lite camera strap and a large size Micro fiber cloth. The top compartment area had my jacket, hearing aid charger, a few extra snacks and other small accessories. I just checked, my Olympus 100-400 lens fits the smaller 250 AW top pocket just fine and could still fit a lightweight jacket, without the lens being in a separate padded lens case. It will probably work with a padded lens case in the 350 AW? The two front sleeve style pockets I had my phone/tablet charger, OTG cable for the Canon camera, USB cords and a 8" tablet to view and share images on social media. The two side pockets had my water bottle and quick access granola bars for on the go snacks. I think the 350 AW will give you plenty of room...

Although I like the flipside concept and I am a 'kitchen sink' photographer (probably 450 would be more suited to me) having the bag at the front with majority of my kit wont it sag down? I'd like to see how this bag compares with the Mind Shift 180 rotation as that system is my preference. In particular to keep my gear more balanced. Any thoughts?
Thanks mate. Yeah, i think the 450 might sink a little if it were full. Its a good idea and works well on the 350, but thats limited in space. Though i will say the straps feel strong and supportive. Ive not used a mind shift, I'll have to check them out and do a review. 👍
While this pack would do me for 90% of the time (mirrorless APS-C setup), I do think about the 10% 'what if' options. I hike the Welsh mountains where the weather is changeable! I'm torn between the 350 and 450 at the moment and from what I've found online, there isn't a lot of difference in price depending where you shop. I notice in a comment below you mention that you have the 450, is it that much bigger? Would that still be useable for the 90% day hikes? Great video, many thanks.
Hey! It's the Whistler 450 I have. Yeah, it's quite a bit bigger. I've taken both on day hikes, the 450 does let you carry more stuff, in that you could include quite a bit clothing without that being at the expense of gear, that said I've don't day hikes in the peaks with camera, drone and weather gear, lunch and stove etc all in the 350... Takes some thought and clever packing but it's doable.

I'd say no on the 13in laptop.. it has a 10in tablet pocket (the front one). As for getting it on a plane, I've never done that so i wouldn't want to advise on it. Thanks for watching the review.

No, there isn't a laptop sleeve in the bag and the front pocket is too narrow to get it in there, just tried it for you and it wouldn't fit. Thanks for watching and reaching out. 👍🤜😊
@@DanielDebenham Hi! I got the thule covert amd it is pretty nice. Nice design, protect the equipment, modular, premium materials and respond to my need. Just 2 things, it is a bit heavy (2kg) and if you put a tripod on the side for a long walk you will feel a lot the imbalance. But for 150€ (and compare to the others) I think it is a really really good choice! My apologies for the English but I think you will understand ;)
I think it's bit small for that and a camera attached. Internally it's 290mm and the lens alone is 256mm. There is a larger 450 flipside trek, that might be what your looking for.

You won't regret a proper bag.. You just end up carrying more of the gear you need in a better way. 👍🤘😎

That lens is about 26cm on its own, i would say that this bag is too small to fit both camera and lens in.
Could you fit a 150-600 mm sigma lens with a Canon EOS 7d mark ii?
Probably not. I think that setup might be just a bit too long. The internal size is 260mm and that set up is 288ish.. Hope that helps. 🤜🤘👍

Thanks, yes it is. All the dividers are removable so it leaves a larger space.

No idea. Though the lens is 201mm in length on its own so it would at best be a very tight fit.
In case anyone wants to know, yes, it fits 5d with 70-200 2.8 mounted with lens hood(bakcwards) and filter on+lens cap.

No, it won't fit a 13in laptop in. It will more than likely fit a 10in iPad but not a laptop. 👍
