Finding GOLD Mining RELICS at LDMA Oconee Camp

The Folks at the LDMA Oconee Gold Camp have been doing a small metal detecting event for the past few days.
I drove up to join them and spend a day there.
They found some great relics and artifacts.

Nice group of relics.
Years ago, one of our digging buddies dug up an old snuff can at the Loud Mine. Something was rattling in it, so he pried it open. It was full of Mercury dimes, including and one Barber dime as well. It's the closest thing to a cache of coins that any of us ever found.
