That is not my problem. The chain is still connected but the flush handle does not work. There has to be another reason.

If it still doesn’t work and there’s no water in the top part, look to the left of the toilet, there’s the black pipe sticking out. There should be a small arm extending from the top of that black part that’s holding a small black skinny bar. Pull that small bar upwards and water should flow to the top of the toilet. Then flush again

Just watched your video. My toilet won't flush so I thought I could fix it but my toilet doesn't have a chain. There is a plastic arm that is connected to the lever and must raise the flapper or whatever that's called. When I try the lever, it raises the plunger thing but doesn't actually accomplish anything. Sorry for all the 'technical' terms. Thank you!

When the flapper raises it should flush the toilet. If it doesn't there may be a clog in the toilet.

What about if the lever thing inside isn't lifting to flush? It looks empty in there.

There should be a chain going from the lever to the flapper on the toilet. Hope this helps you out.
