The Ioniq 5 also has Drift mode for allowing to drift the vehicle. That can be a bit more fun. It's supposedly only available in the Perfmance Trim, but I tested in a Genesis GV60 Advanced trim and was able to enable it. Check CZcams on how to enable.

Thanks for the good review. I drove Hyundai/Genesis for six years and found their large sedan very comfortable and plenty of torque in the V8 model (0-60 in 4.6).
I’m holding onto my Fisker Ocean One, because it’s working for me. Sure, I would like the added ADAS functions and guaranty of the added perks of an FOO owner. I’m starting to think that the ship is on the brink of going down. How terrible for a vehicle named the Ocean.
Our only saving grace will be that the ship is not too far below the surface and can be recovered. Worst case, it rests at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

Enjoyed you and your son reviewing the Fisker and Hyundai! Fisker, being a brand new car company will not, in my opinion, compare favorably with ANY established car company simply because they haven’t been around long enough. Did not understand if you thought the Hyundai or the Fisker had a less than spectacular sound system? I hope Fisker will focus on just the Ocean, all efforts to make the Ocean a benchmark EV; with its unique offerings and stylish design and eventually, flawless software.
The Ocean Sport stereo is poor at best. The Ocean extreme/One has a nice stereo. Have not seen an ultra in person yet

I put a non-refundable deposit on a Fisker Ocean One. I walked away and lost my 5k deposit. I am now leasing an Ioniq 5 and couldn't be more happy with the decision. Don't underestimate the interior size of this vehicle. It looks somewhat like a hot hatch, but punches above its weight.

I work for Fisker. There is some gossip going around between employees that Magna is coming on board. They are saying Magna pumping in 190 million and going to concentrate on Alaska and Ocean. Fisker has been asked to clear old stock and cancel current customer orders.

Hey Adam is the stereo really that bad or maybe it's a matter of sound adjustment or preference in the vehicle? Fisker has it listed as "Premium sound" LOL
The Ultra and Extreme have nice stereos. I would describe the sport as. “Stereo sound.” Because it does have left and right speakers.
LOL about the dodging potholes comment! Yeah, someday it would be nice if ADAS will include the ability to detect potholes (or any bumps) and steer the smoothest path (and also not run off the road or collide with other cars).
If a feature like that does come to fruition, it might make the human occupants a little nervous, though. I steer my car to avoid potholes and bumps all the time, and every time it makes my wife nervous, even when she knows what I'm doing.
Potholes will be the Achilles heel of self driving.
I love the "EV" button. But, you didn't show the "ICE" button. 😀

I received an email yesterday for ocean extreme availability from Fisker Canada and the email reads:
Good news. We just reduced the price of the Ocean Extreme to $48.799 and we don’t charge for color and wheels. This could mean another $12.000 in savings on some cars.

Fisker Response my above questions:

We have 6 year warranty on the car and 10 years for battery and drive train.
We have financing available at 6.16% for 60 months.
We can provide a bill of sale within days. We can also help with registration depending on the Province.
We have applied for the federal EV rebate but no answer yet.
Our suppliers are big international companies and I am sure that they can provide parts.
I did go to the Toronto International Auto show this past winter with my family to show them the car I been eyeing and reserved since late 2021 and when they saw the Ocean they were thrilled with excitement and now with uncertainty about the company it makes this offer not worth to share to my family but I believe the community needs to know that deals like this are indeed floating around.

I think that the dip we’re seeing was likely to happen at some point and I feel like we’ve reached the end of “Gen 1”. I also feel like there are a few silver linings.
First, battery tech from the Chinese is showing rapid progress in the past couple of years, so delaying product may give Ford more opportunity to take advantage in their next-gen vehicles.
Second, too many potential buyers don’t have adequate access to public charging right now. But new chargers are opening literally every day and each one makes a difference. Hopefully, we’ll see more L2 chargers showing up at workplaces and this will improve sales prospects.
Right now there is some negative sentiment against EVs in general, a culture war kind of thing that I think will blow over as more people encounter the EVs that their family and friends show them off.
This feels like a pause, and maybe a chance to shake off dead wood (*cough* Fisker). And I took the opportunity to upgrade my MME Select to a Premium 😊

As I posted in a previous CZcams evaluation of Fisker's Oceans that you posted, I chose to purchase a Hyundai Kona EV LTD instead. I started out at my local Hyundai dealer much as you do in this video, and drove the Ionic 5. I compared all of the features of the Ionic 5 in a similar way as you do in this video, except I never got to drive an Ocean; just watch your videos and read their specs. But THEN, I took a road test in the Kona, and hands down, it is superior to both the Ocean and Ionic 5. And given the trim and pricing points, I was able to get the Limited trim of the Kona for the same pricing as the Sport (all in); much superior trim compared to the Ionic 5 you evaluated. If you get the chance, and your Hyundai dealer friends are willing, try the Kona out if they have one.

space in the ioniq5 is deceptive. Both sets of seats are canted at a more severe angle which means the car does not fit child seats at all. The excessive canted back seat also eats into storage coupled with an over slanted back window pain... so you might look at the floor space of the trunk saying 'hey this is good space' but when you try to fit things in it you run into issues with how low the slanted rear glass goes. The vehicle is not a fair comparison to Ocean its 1 size smaller. Drives like a car because its essentially a hatchback.

Thanks for the feedback. This channel covers Fisker primarily. Also, unfortunately, I own the Fisker, so, that’s why I’m reviewing it.
I was all lined up to order an Ocean Ultra a month ago…………… tomorrow I take delivery of a more expensive new Mini Countryman S E Sport with all the option boxes ticked. They went on sale here in petrol and electric form 3 weeks ago and my dealership cannot get enough of them in either energy model. I should have taken delivery Saturday before Easter but our UK registration office (it’s national rather than per state here) had a software glitch that meant dealers couldn’t register the electric versions. Last 3 years I’ve been driving a Cooper S E with a 28.9kWh battery / 110 miles range - it will take some getting used to not having to charge up every night now I’ve got 64kWh and 260 miles to run on a charge! If I could post a photo here I would. I loved the Oceans I test drove and had everything not ended up the way it has I would be in one - such is life unfortunately

In your list of 10 differences you don't include a comment about the software maturity. Seems like it might be better in the Ioniq 5, but not sure based on your review. I think that's a huge deal (and a huge con for the Ocean).
Also I didn't hear you discuss the door locking/unlocking functionality and the key fobs. Can you comment on those? Thanks!
Fisker software is poor and incomplete. Fisker Key fob is poor. Fisker Door locking/unlocking is under investigation by NHTSA.

@@cjzitofob is ugly and unwieldy, but works perfectly. Doors sound solid. Entry and exit are similar to a car
At first, I was not too fond of the look of the Ioniq 5 however, the different colors you can get with the car helped change my dislike. I still like the Kia EV6 better, just looked at the Fisker Ocean in my stateside and no sport but still have some launch editions, Ultra, and Extreme. It says contact and they could ship one in two days.
The dealership in Atlanta, classic Fisker is the way to go if you want one. I also like the EV6 looks better. Thanks for your feedback!

@@Aslash304Hyundai has really stepped their game up, the past 5 years. Both for their EVs, and petrol vehicles.
The designs of some of their new cars are some of the best in the marker right now. Call me crazy but I think the Ioniq 5, is the best looking EV out right now. An EV hot hatch is a great idea.
@@jsilva7005Hyundai knows how to blow a transmission 10 seconds after after the warranty expires. But the Ioniq 5 is probably the best looking EV. The new santa Fe design looks like a defender design done properly
Fisher profile is the typical crossover profile that most people go for sorta like a Mazda CX5. Ionic 5 profile is more of a hatch, it's too low on the ground.
The Ioniq 5 indeed is exactly 0.4 inches lower than the Ocean. Good spot

Ocean Sport advertised for 25000 $ and not existing ?
How stupid must Fisker be when they must want to sell all the inventory before going bankrupt cause after that the inventory will have a lower value.
Just a matter of time till that will happen or has happen, but you can not try to sell inventory if there is nothing available and that low price will stop everyone from buying the 2024 model year for what ever price. All these cars have been built months or quarters ago and shipped.
Again, the ocean will not become a sibling of the other car produced and lost back then, the delorean that did not sell well back then until years later back to the future boosted the values of the existing through the roof. Ocean is not iconic from an european perspective, maybe designed for US market.
