In my experience black hive are almost completely incapable of it though and regular make a pretty good job of it.
recently got a pawn with the super speed power. Not bad, but then there's the weakness that came with it. Psychological paralysis. Effectively rendering them a paraplegic. She can't walk, but by god if she could then she'd be fast as fuck

I do like this mod, the only qualm I have is that the doors disappear when you hack them, it would be nice if they stayed as working doors.

The slingshot thing is also broken considering CORPSES are valued at $225, so you can get a lot of valuable items after raids.
With isolationists you don't get the vanilla wanderer joins event, your wanderer might be an alpha animals mime
I would love a starting scenario for the insectoid faction mod where you start with a couple of dudes with no equipment in a plagued hive
You should have used Craft Culture (from either the vanilla expanded or alpha memes mod, I don't remember which) to that yet another +1 to crafting quality. I'm pretty sure with all those bonuses a botchjob would still be like, excellent at worst.

Awful, poor, normal, good, excellent, masterwork, legendary. Minimum excellent and you’ll be getting legendary when you roll normal or better
@@director1336 Now have that plus a level 20 crafter plus archotech arms and archotech eyes plus that mod that makes archotech parts have 200% efficiency.
@@katteisace4563 in theory yes, in practice the game doesn’t seem to handle it very well and you still get like 10% of items coming out excellent and master work quality, which is obviously still amazing.
Then again I only play with production specialists so I really don’t know what it’s like to not craft only excellent quality gear lol.

The rain was intensifying as the two stared at each other in an eerie silence. Until Richard was approaching him in near tears.
[Social: 0] "Mental....Brake!!
Richard held Northman's head trying to snap him back to his reality, Northman knew he would have to make things clear.
[Social: 10] "It's me, Richard..."
The same one kept going on and on insisting that this one was having a mental brake. Northman soon got tired, and threw him aside to explain himself again more clearly.
[Social: 11] " It's me richard, just... me."
Richard stopped attacking and waited for his friend's explanation.
[Social: 11] "That's not the way I thought of doing it, but I don't have a choice. It's time for me to tell you where I really come from. I escaped the empire, yes, but I didn't escape for the reasons you know. I was a leader of the ideology focused on supremacy, so we had to fight for only the strongest to populate the empire, half the population was cut in half... but what was born from the ashes was unbeatable. By the time we recovered, the empire was the best empire in rimworld, so we decided to make it the only empire in rimworld. Some colonies resisted us, but they could not resist us for long. So our empire grew throughout several regions of rimworld, but as our territory grew, our forces grew thin, and we were forced to stop our expansion. We needed to find a better and more efficient way to conquer empires, so some of the most trusted men in the empire were chosen to have a colony to weaken on their own. I was one of these lucky ones."
Northman would have a little flash back of the good times he had in the colony.
[Social: 11]"I couldn't tell rose why I was here... but this time came to an end, and now we need to get the colony ready to join the empire."
[Northman tried to convert Richard to his ideoligion. Richard's certainty has fallen from 100% to 99%. He resents the conversion attempt.]
Richard begins to fall in tears.
[Social: 11]"Richard, this is good news! We can finally be what we wanted to be, get out of this rimworld together.".
Richard looked at him crying.
[Social: 0]"You...lie...me..."
Northman Tried to comfort him
[Social: 11]"You couldn't know the truth, not until you had your psy focuses, not until I was sure..."
Richard would begin to show frustration.
[Social: 0]"Sure...What?"
Northman tried to comfort him with a hold of his shoulder
[Social: 11]" That you had the skills of a psy caster."
Richard snapped away angrily at Northman
[Social: 0]"Dont. Make. SENSE..."
Richard pointed at northman face closely
[Social: 0]"You... love me. You... love... US. Me know."
Northman stood in a brief silence, thinking for a moment before replying to richard.
[Social: 11]"Do you have any idea what will occur here? You will be enslaved, or killed with the rest of your colony by a tribe, or worse. Do you understand what that means?"
Richard tried as hard as he could to calm down at that moment when Northman spoke, standing in front of the body of his companion crying.
[Social: 11]"You will live to see everyone you love enslaved or executed in front of you... this is not something I want for you."
Richard would look around, the rain falling on them as he saw all that he had achieved with his friends. Northman Then would continue with his words.
[Social: 11]"Think about it richard, we can end constant RAIDS, end hunger, evolve medicine hundreds of years ahead of what we have now."
Richard was speechless during all of this, thoughtful, tears still streaming from his face as he went to look down at his feet.
[Social: 11]"We were already doing that, if it wasn't for you and me, this colony would be on fire..."
Northman He paused slightly, moving closer to Richard.
[Social: 11]"Now I need you to allow the empire to join the colony..."

You can also delete weaknesses, which will make god into a God
As stated by others, it is the fact that you are the Ancients faction, not that you are Isolationist, that is getting you the recruits.
My favorite superpower is the immunity to all explosions.
You can protect a pawn from regular attacks by armor and shields. But normally you can do nothing about rocket launchers, exploding turrets, exploding reactors, exploding mechanoid ship reactors but shoot them from a distance, which is lame, because they often shoot back. Except that one pawn could solo every encounter due to being stuffed with some crazy tech .
Until I sent him to some psychic emitter, there were 20 or so shock goats and they paralyzed the pawn somehow despite all the armor.
Other stun weapon mods also seem to work despite armor or shields, so there is a weakness.
I heard that the ancients mod work really well now with biotech, giving that fallout type of scenario, make sure you give your colonist the ability to resist toxicity

break open the last door.... and find yourself inside a mountain....
but its ok. finally you find a pocket of free ground... for raiders to drop pod onto XD

Next time to trigger the mechanoid clusters: Place a sleeping spot right next to any sleeping mechanoid, this will wake them up.
Also: When mechanoids are asleep, build a a roof over the mortar so it can't fire, but ofcourse this only works if there is no proximity trigger.

The first game of "Rimworld" that I ever played, I got ROFL-stomped by a Gazelle. ONE Gazelle. He downed everyone and then took the Man In Black out, too!
I have hated them ever since.
It was in the 3rd or 4th year of my colony. I had automated turrets, plenty of food and half my fighters were on a mission. The other half had just defended from a raid and were in the sick ward. Then a solar flare hit.
"Huh i guess im lucky that didnt start before the raid" i thought to myself-
7 manhunter turkeys have entered the map, they broke down my doors. Killed my doctor and my researcher before breaking into the sick ward and feasting on my comatose soldiers.
God i hate turkeys. Always use secondary off-the-grid defenses like spike traps in addition to whatever else youre relying on
