Initially that's what I thought, but there's a tcg player subscription that makes shipping free for like 7$, which would make buying decks from this series actually feasible.
@@golemqueen1988 That’s only true of the sellers that have opted into the program, and they’re almost universally more expensive than the other options. So you get “free shipping” but the card costs 20-25% more (but often much worse). For low cost cards usually it’s 20-40 cents more.
I'd like to see a series that's the opposite of this after where you can't use cards under a certain price

Highly recommend a suships package next time you have a really low budget! All the cards are like 1 cent and it’s a good rank 4 engine for the cost. Also it would be hilarious

Someone called me insane for saying you can have a competent deck in yugioh for $100, apparently that's too cheap and all yugioh decks that are good cost at least $400
@@AstralLaVista budget yugioh is fun, usually floats around tier 3-rogue but is still an absolute blast. That person has a very skewed idea of good tho lol, definitely doesn't have to be a $400 deck
I wonder what decks would be made if they increased the budget but had to include shipping costs.
It would limit them to buying from select or 1 or 2 vendors thus limiting there card pool.

@@TheNewblade1 it would be commanders quarters. I find it sad that anyone would consider prices without shipping costs. Sure, it makes for an ok series... but, it ruins the idea of anyone using this series to actually help them build budget decks.
@@Schmaglow It's not possible to play this format with shipping price included. Plus, they play with small enough values that most of the time you should have more money to spare when building a deck

Weirdly enough that’s probably pretty easy when 1-2 people (not involved with this series that’s another thing) will put some cards at very high prices for little to no good reason besides MAYBE getting some idiot to buy it. What’s that access code costs over 100$? Well I found a ultra rare dark magician that costs 80,000$ and was Yugis actual card he played in the show and has some of his skin cells on it.

After watching this, Plunder just seems like it’s one of those decks that’s one or two good support cards away from going crazy and being a serious meta contender.
Adventure reallyu synergizes well, but im still waiting on earth/wind ships to cover all the attributes

Legitimately need the missing element ships but even then its a deck that goes minus hard and then plusses hard, so if they get stopped at the crucial moment they roll over.
It's a very good deck however the learning curve is really steep. Even in this match MBT was playing in a manner which was pretty scuffed. Game 1, Redbeard would have gotten its effect to equip to Lys when destroyed by battle which would have meant that Yarrrd would have had a target to bounce and would have meant that Redbeard would have re-equipped itself to Redbeard when discarded by Yarrrd eff. This means that he could have then searched Blackeyes and SS'ed it by adding back Whitebeard. NS Whitebeard. Whitebeard + Blackeyes = Blackbeard. Whitebeard SS another Redbeard from deck. Enter the battle phase, Redbeard attack over Foxy (because Redbeard would have 1500 because of the boost from Yarrrd from the 1st redbeard being equipped to Lys) then Blackbeard eff target Redbeard summon Brann and equip Redbeard to it, attack over inverted with Blackbeard and then attack with either ship for game (500 from Redbeard vs Foxy, 1800 from Blackbeard vs Inverted (1600 + 500 from Brann+ 1000 from Yarrrd = 3100, 3100-1300 =1800), 3500 from Brann, 3500 from Lys).
@@TihusTalks Yeah, it does seem like a complicated deck. Maybe not as complicated as D/D/D, Megalith or Tear. But complicated none the less.

once you've exhausted all the budgets on the wheel id like to see another one with the budgets adjusted to be higher but you include all shipping and any other costs incurred when purchasing the cards. Maybe this is just my ignorance but 1 cent is not that actual amount you would pay if you ordered that card for real? it would be good for people to see literally how cheaply they could build a deck irl if they wanted to.
And this is probably more effort than its worth but if you wanted to avoid shipping costs you could take a camera down to a card store in person and see if any cards there are cheaper and add cards to your pool from that. basically any way that you could get cards yourself you could use.
I've been advocating for the "structure deck challenge" that basically means seeing what they can do on a $30 budget. That seems super realistic

Amazing how the majority of the cost of the Salamangreat Structure Deck reprint of Ash Blossom has appreciated over time. Same for Duel Devastator's alt art I believe.
12:13 actually, pankratops doesn't get banished. It's just like using mechaba to negate eldlich, or crescendo to negate ash. They attempt to banish the card from where it activated, but it's not there anymore.
You HAVE TO try Ancient Warriors. Cheap as hell, great OTK potential and at least 2 disruptions by going first.

i feel like if i did this series, i'd make a deck core list first to punch into tcgplayer's mass entry form and then use the cart optimizer feature to try and trim it down or add staples to that after.

The only feeling better than losing to mass removal is losing to mass removal for the cost of a single card. I love Lightning Storm and Feather Duster. Great cards. Can't get enough of them. Fun, fair, and balanced. Heavy Storm and Feather Duster to 3. Back row dependence and overextension deserves this... No sarcasm whatsoever.

I know it's probably impossible withoutthe market making it obsolete quickly, but I would love if you could find a way to make the decks in this series for $50 or less including shipping. These kinds of fun builds are so good for introducing friends to the game.

I feel like they should add a rule that limits you to a playset of a card for a series. So if you use 3 dark hole in 1 episode, you can't use dark hole for the rest. Would force a little bit more creativity into deck building.
I was thinking this too, once the different price points have mostly been used it'd be interesting to see a banlist develop.
I feel like that defeats the fun part of the series which is how strong of a deck can you build with X amount of dollars. If they did what you said it would basically just be “play shitty version of x archetype deck” because all the cheap staples would be gone after a few episodes.
They should add another set of prices to the wheel, but this time with shipping costs included. That would turn the series into a weird kind of TCG seller sealed and give one lucky member of twitch chat the chance to actually buy the deck for that price after the shopping cart session has expired

In Game one Danny could've ended on 2 counter traps, Heatsoul and Gazelle in hand. Instead he goes for conflict heatsoul pass
Game two is a weird one idk if there is any line which could've outed his board/win him the game, even if he could've outed it joe is just a god and draws into shipyard and white beard. Imagine being that lucky. Not only you have literally the entire out to Dannys hand, but you also draw into the best cards of your deck.
