Runner - Funkdoc - Hry
Dracula even sat behind Funk, to watch him beat this game in person!
Cringe
Hahahaha!!! 🤣
@@constantakajason yeah, you're real cool
Jesus man, I can't imagine how hard some of these songs are to play WHILE a run is happening. Shoutouts to Funkdoc and Kareshi for an amazing run!
I don't know which is more amazing: the speed run or the pianoist. That is some amazingf piano playing to replicate the music on the piano. The stage music and even get th stage end music right.
Mister E. On the other hand, the speedrunners have been playing and practicing games for years and years as well. Ever watch someone completely new to video games play an easy game? It's not a pretty sight...
Shout out to Dracula on the front row.
vaboy123 He bobs his head at one point...
Why is Dracula wearing a trash bag? XD
It makes it almost like watching a 1930's silent movie with a piano, this is fantastic
The piano is Epic! I love how on stage 4 he even caught that it reverts to the stage 2 music after getting to the surface of the level. I don't need to talk about how epic funkdoc is.
Kudos to the pianist, for not only learning the soundtrack to the entire game and playing it with barely a missed note all the way through, but also being so comfortable with it that he could manage the level transitions (and the death) seamlessly! Amazing pairing with funkdoc, putting in another awesome speedrun.
Who's here from Summoning Salt?
I AM
Me
me2
Me. Damn, this is such a masterpiece
XD I was so curious
11:11 that transition from the Heart of Fire theme to the Boss Theme was SOO seamless! Amazing!
yes
The piano made this to much more exciting to watch. No commentary needed!
I like that he keeps playing the level theme for a bit and then plays it real fast like "how was I supposed to know he'd die?"
piano dude, if you see this know that I appreciate you. i was BOPPING like this was fresh as fuck
Awesome piano holy crap amazing
Nothing short of epic with the piano.
I'll be honest: The music increases the awesomeness drastically.
Ah, this whole thing keeped me smiling. Amazing speedrun (I don't mind the death), fantastic piano music, Neo and the Doctor... just amazing!
Ádám Pajor I think the death made it even better because it showed that Kareshi not only prepared for the occasion, but was able to execute accordingly.
I dont know how I missed this a few years ago, the piano doing the music is flipping awesome, I wish you guys did more stuff like this in more recent AGDQ's
The piano accompaniment was very impressive. Kudos to the speedrunner as well for beating a pretty tough game.
The piano was a nice touch. Great speed run!
my god.....that piano player :D who wouldn't want to watch a speed run of this game with that in the background?
epic run with epic live music!
Day 6, they still haven't realised I'm not a trashbag...
shoutouts if you came from summoning salts video
It's like watching a silent movie, with that piano...
give the guy in the back on the piano a medal man.
Just watching this now and am so impressed with the pianist. Truly amazing and fun to watch. Good job.
This is super mega awesome. Castlevania with live music. Incredible!
We need more Piano% runs.
the fact that this guy named himself "funkdoc" makes him absolutely cool in my mind (no sarcasm)
One of the best speedruns on AGDQ ever. It's up there with Siglemic's 120 star run and Cosmo's any% OoT. Both players are simply amazing.
Seeing someone blaze through the hardest game I've ever completed is both inspiring and a blow to my self-esteem.
@hoosherdaddy Here;s the thing, at the moment im uploading all the videos from speed demos archive's recent Speed run marathon, so all of them will have the split screen. After im done, however, it's back to business posting the normal ones off the site.
GREAT JOB on the Final Boss theme with the piano. I personally thought that was the best he did. Otherwise, great run! Keep these things going, they're very interesting and fun to watch!
Fast video games and piano music.
These are a few of my favorite things.
Awesome run. :]
Absolutely amazing! I've watched your past charity events and I've always loved when you use the piano.
The piano makes this the most unique speed run i've ever seen.
A valiant effort on Heart of Fire, those transitions can be tough :p Fantastic job by both Funkdoc and Kareshi :)
I wonder if the piano player even practiced the dying theme for this run. Like, no, I won't need that.
Even ol' Dr. Acula was impressed with him getting his ass whupped.
Shout out to FunkDoc for inviting the Drac and Kareshi for this epic run. Was it the best or fastest speed run? Not close, but it was by far the most awesome.
Thanks to everyone involved in its excellence.
This is awesome lol. No one mentions there is a guy playing the soundtrack on the piano the entire time lols
the live music is so epic. well played my friend, I wasn't even watching the game play just rockin to the music...so good!
I'm way more impressed by the piano player lol
funkdoc is a great runner but the piano is mad awesome
If I watched this live I would have donated for the piano player to come back again. Where is that guy?
I was just about to complain about how it seemed nobody was fully grasping how awesome the pianist is..
Love the piano!
Awesome and clever way to do a speed run!, hell yeah Castlevania and hell yeah Piano! :D
Maaaaaan you guys have outdone yourselves. You guys are the best!!
that is so freakin' cool! a non-tas speedrun with custom piano
BEST RUN EVER !!!
that is some seriously cool stuff.. speed run and piano!
piano made it all worth while! this should be done more often
One of my favourite sda runs, great piano!
good stuff guys.love the piano and the quick run .keep it up
gave me chills this was AMAZING
I love this so much. Good job to both of them!
he is sooo mad about this death.....says no word in the whole run! Amazing! I can barely beat this game in 25 minutes...and he is fast as lightning. Love the Piano too
that was awesome! Well done!
This run is just so damn cool. I absolutely love it
That was so awesome, can't believe I missed this live =,=
that was fucking awesome. it broke my heart to see the guy die on level three but it was still epic and a really good speedrun beat every attempt i ever had at a speedrun for castlevania. I think im gonna download the audio from this video and make a ringtone from the piano music!!!!!
The Piano sound is very nice, and the speedrun awsome. One of the hardest NES Games.
The banner is falling, the game is over, everyone's talking and yet...the pianist is still playing! True piece of art!!!
Bruh it's so clear to me how old this video really is. I mean this was before they knew you could just hit the bay and skip the moving platforms in the cave. Crazy. Summoning salt was right tho, this is a really cool video!
Funkdoc's playing and Kareshi's piano playing was AWESOME!
Great run, and props to the awesome pianist!
The live piano really gives an edge to the overall performance
Nicely done with the piano
Excellent run, and the pianist is very talented.
Good job on the mummies good sir and kicking azz in this game that fast makes you a true master my friend. I always got to Dracula and never beat the 2nd form.
This is brilliant! Where was this in the latest GDQs??? More of these mashups!!
man this is amazing glad i watched summoningsalt's vid so i could witness this
.. It takes me 800 tries to beat this fucking game when I was little, and this dude just crushed me under 14 minutes.
Very impressive speedrun and piano playing! My favorite part was the dracula fight with the piano
brilliant! Piano was fantastic
Fun fact: this is how video games used to be played back in the silent era
Wow, much respect for Kareshi.
Great work
The piano is awesome keep it up
Funkdoc + Kareshi ^ Castlevania = AWESOMAZINGTASTIC
Fantastic !
piano playing was amazing
Awesome! Like some call back to the silent films of old.
This was a great video to watch, I love the fact that the player got killed once & also the piano player messed up one of his songs. :) Even though it wasn't flawless, it was still highly enjoyable.
Now this, this here is art.
Haha, this needs to happen now. Donation incentive 2014 !

Absolutely no one: ...
Me: hiT IT
It's incredible, they should do it in every short runs, or in the castlevania 4 run, which have incredibles themes.
great piano playing
Dat awkward moment when you realize Dracula is sitting in the front row
One of the coolest ideas since "Blindfolded Punch-Out"
my fav run ever
I'm here for that 👌piano
okay tbh this guy can't keep a rhythm to save his life but the tone is great from the piano
Yes! I love seeing runners using enemy hits to improve a speed run. I think it's done in some super metroid runs, where it's apparently possible to practically fly across rooms by turning just before an enemy hits you, or something like that.
It's awesome to see him use that 'feature' where you're sent flying backwards once you hit an enemy to his advantage to get to higher platforms! THAT'S RIGHT! IT'S PAYBACK FOR ALL THOSE TIMES THOSE THINGS KNOCKED ME OFF MY PLATFORMS SENDING ME TO MY COLD INVISIBLE GRAVE! THOSE DAMN CHEAP DEATHS! Otherwise, this game is awesome, and so is the runner and the guy on piano. Spiced things up a bit, he did.
Awesome!
so awesome
a good 'fuck yes' to the piano guy, great job!
wow... the piano was a f***ing good idea :D I know it's not that easy to do this but they should do this more often in next years :D
Nice run
the piano death sound was epic.
the piano song! great!!
That guy is awesome
