  • Took 35 years but I have finally done a quick follow up to the Birmingham 1987 video, you can't follow the route the same any more but we have matched up best we could and walked some parts.

    some great footage. I used to work in Perry Barr Precinct in 1986 - what a difference !

      Was this the days of "Fame" and "Carters"? The little record shop (no more than a hut!) at the front. It was a lovely precinct!

      Its a complete dog's dinner isn't it? Two years and the improvement is zero. I avoid my once beloved town like the plague now. Whoever designed the roads round the centre should be sued.

      @@MarkHevingham Birmingham was completely obliterated in the 1960s to build those roads. Manzoni is the name you're looking for. His legacy is that he got an MBE for essentially destroying all of birminghams historic buildings just so some people could drive and park their stupid cars
      These mistakes are now beginning to be corrected
