Hi friends! I had planned on making a video that I was physically IN but I ran into tripod issues and I’m home alone! So since I had no camera man at my disposal - I didn’t want to make you wait any longer and wanted to get this video UP.
This video is something I have wanted to make because in our process of shopping around and considering sofa’s - it was the video I was hoping to find and couldn’t. So I hope this addresses any concerns and questions you may have.
This video also came highly requested so I hope I got to all of your submitted questions.

I went into Living Spaces yesterday only to look for a mid century / modern style sofa. Walked pass this lovely sofa and sat down, and responded “ oh my goodness “ this is it!! I fell immediately in love and called my daughter over to have a seat she’s expecting and said yesss! With a huge cheesy smile. No mid century after all. I’m very particular and more for comfort level and looks.. loved the fabric color choices. (Beach Linen) 10/10 for this lovely Cloud dupe! Love it that the chase is reversible as well.
I informed the gentleman that helped me so kind and knowledgeable I would return in a few days with my decision so I could measure and think this over. I got home and started reading all the reviews on LS. I came across your video on YT as I was also searching. I am ordering mine today although it’s out of stock. I will patiently wait! I purchased mine in November and was told that I should receive it in February. My husband thinks I’m nuts waiting so long but I fell in love with it and the price was right! How is it?
This is an excellent review and exactly what i needed to see. I’ve spent countless hours over the last several months researching the depths of the internet, trying to find the perfect ‘cloud’ couch for my newly renovated basement family room. I ruled out the Utopia after seeing the same awful reviews you mentioned. I was fairly set on using a custom sofa manufacturer/brand that I’m sure you considered as well. Every review I’ve seen has been excellent but I’ve spent months trying to communicate with them via email and it’s just too painful a process. I tried to set up a phone call to get my questions answered, to no avail. Like every other email I’ve written to them, it took 10 days to see a response. I give up. I’m back to the Utopia. My one and only question/concern has to do with fabric selection. I can’t find any information online as to what all of these fabrics (that LS offers) actually are. I called and was told to order sample fabric watches. I ordered my limit of 3 swatches and i wasn’t happy with any of them. So, to my question - how did you decide on Caitlin Flax? ... and what is the feel? I’m not nearly as concerned with the color as I am the feel.

This makes me SO HAPPY. I felt like I had such a similar experience and I was looking for someone to just go ALL the way in and do a review video. And it’s a major purchase! So I understand your reservations. I am not sure if you have a LS location near you for feel comfortable going out in public right now - but that was our ultimate deciding factor. In store they had the sectional displayed in a grey fabric and then the sofa and chair displayed in the Caitlin flax. So we were able to see it on a large scale. I think what’s tough about their sample is that they’re so exceptionally SMALL. Sort of hard to make a conclusion about how it will feel (for instance) on your legs if you’re wearing shorts in the summer! All these small details count. What I like about it is that it has a very natural linen appeal - but it’s very soft. And for some strange reason I’m pulled to describe it as “cool”....not in the same way that a leather seat would be cold in the winter, but in the sense that it isn’t a dense material that would make you feel too hot. Like a suede or something. Color was a HUGE variable in my deciding factor - but if you aren’t limited to color - I think perhaps calling and asking them what they’re display of the grey sectional is made of. It’s very soft, and versatile. I hope this helps 🤞🏻
You can also set up a virtual meeting with a representative from living spaces and they’ll go through all the fabrics with you and tell you how they feel, show you the colors, etc. it really helped me when my boyfriend and I ordered ours!!
That is exactly what I wanted to hear. I was a little hesitant about going with such a light color. I have a beagle and she leaves a coats’ worth of hair behind every 3 steps she takes.... but the truth is, that’s really my only concern as far as color goes. Ill just have to relocate the Dyson Animal to the new family room and that’s that. Seems like Caitlin Flax is exactly what I want - linen-soft, not dense/thick, and if it’s cooler than other materials, that’s good enough for me. Unfortunately, I’m in Columbus Ohio and there is not a brick & mortar LS anywhere nearby so the test-drive is not an option for me. It’s a lot of money, a lot of time invested (post-order, pre-delivery) and an important piece of furniture to be purchased site unseen. I have no choice but to rely on reviews. Now, as I read back through the negative reviews that first turned me off, I realize that most are to do with the fabric pilling. That’s just ignorance. It has nothing with this couch or LS. Fabric pills. That’s what it does... but as you mentioned, there are some simple ways to keep that at bay. Anyway, again thank you for taking the time to make this video and for responding to my fabric question. Im excited to be done with this research project. I’m ordering this thing.... right now. :)

Your whole room is styled so perfect and beautiful. The way the throw blanket matches the legs of the coffee table, even the way the blanket is scrunched like the coffee tables legs designed. The credenza or cabinet is perfectly matched to the color legs of the table. Whole room stunning! Even your sweet, cute kitty matches, with her colors of white, brown, and dark brown! 😂 😍

I have the Haven and the Utopia I love both, I’ve also machine washed both then air dry the covers, no problems what so ever. Both are perfect, highly recommend.

What fabric did you select? I love being able to machine wash sofa covers but was told that's not an option with the Living Space Upholstery!
This was SOOO helpful! I have a sofa ordered from Haverty's furniture and it is similar but not a "cloud dupe." It is more expensive by a lot and I have convinced myself that it is just not going to be worth it and I should go with Living Spaces. It is so hard to find Living Spaces reviews - we all know that a lot of their stuff is lower quality if you will. But this seems like it will work for me for a few years at minimum. Thanks Hannah!

This video is so thorough! I’ve done all my homework and research and decided on the Jackson Posh but they extended the delivery date by over 2 months. I was considering cancelling and trying a different dupe (why I’m here) but after seeing how long this one take, I guess I’ll just continue waiting. Btw, you have a soothing lovely voice!

Its beautiful but not for tall people. It sits 15 inches off of the floor. I'm nearly 6'3 it would be easier for me to roll onto the floor than to stand up lol

When I was researching my Grand Down II sectional, I ran across your video. This was very helpful. I also wanted Caitlyn Flax fabric. I was able to check the fabric from local store and saw the fabric on different furniture. Ordered my sectional last month and just got it delivered today. Not even a month of waiting! Very satisfied with the purchase.
How do you like the grand down vs utopia..I’m debating between the 2
@@DariaLeroy I went with Grand Drown II because it was had the chaise shape I wanted. I also liked the thicker seat cushions. I personally felt utopia's thinner seat cushions might get flat fast. It's just my husband and myself at home so it doesn't get used too much. We had it for about a month now and we really love it!

I fell in love with the Ashley Tanavi Cloud sofa, soo comfy and yes been on backorder forever. I'm starting to look around at others that are similar to Tanavi. I was hoping you would sit in it to see how "cloudy" it is. 🤔
Did you buy the Tanavi?, if so, how do you like it…..I ordered the 3-piece sectional on Jan 2nd and rec’d it on Jan 18th (it is now $400 cheaper than I paid 😢)….I love it!
Careful with using the stain guard things . Pets are sometimes allergic to it and it will take you forever maybe to find out why they’re always sick

Hi Hannah, I read the reviews and noticed a lot of people said Caitlin flex fabric picks like crazy and looks older than it is actually is. Is that true? Now you have owned the couch for over a year.

Thank you for giving me the motivation i needed to take out pee stain my dog did probably a lil ago. Folex is the truth, the technique of putting paper towels behind or on the other side as to absorb any wetness was a great. I love this couch it is the best value for your buck!

First of all thank you for the review...due to me waiting so long I almost cancelled the order at no cost...I have read a lot bad reviews as well like you mentioned...because of your video, I decided to wait for delivery...You say in this video it's a right facing chase...
I believe it is called a left facing chase...I think when you're standing in front of the sofa, what ever side the chase is on is what you would go by...so that would be a left facing chase...and I sure hope that is the case...because I have been waiting for my custom order of a right facing chase Utopia sofa for 5 months, ordered on September 5th... I'm supposed to get it by January 15th...the manufacture has been backed up due to covid and shortage of material...hopefully I'll like it as much as you!

Could you possibly add taller legs to the bottom to give some height? Does this have any legs at all and if so do they just screw off?

I think you missed that under the seat cushions it sinks in even more because of more foam down there which makes it more comfortable

Hi there! The cushions are not attached, I find myself sort of re-positioning them after a night of heavy lounging. But nowhere NEAR the amount of work I had with our past sofa which was down. They were so heavy and always looked so deflated 😭 this one is sooo much better.

I have been hesitant to pull the trigger on this sofa because I ordered the fabric swatches and the Caitlin Flax felt kind of scratchy. Is that the case? I am looking for something super soft and comfy and I don't care about the "lived in" look. I actually like it when it's kind of messy looking.
Hi there! I was concerned about this too but when we experienced it in person at the show room - I was wearing shorts and was able to really get a true experience and it’s not scratchy AT ALL. Though unfortunately they have now removed the couch from their website 😭 the demand is too high

I have not been able to find the answer to this question anywhere!! Is the back support very low? Can you comfortably sit up, or do you have to be leaning back at an angle?
I honestly haven’t experienced that feeling of having to lean at an angle. And my boyfriend is 6’ and never seems to complain. He’s like the biggest comfort advocate ever too haha. I think the couch back is short but the cushions are so full and tall you don’t really ever notice

Hi! I mentioned the spot cleaner we have tried - I know for certain you can’t spot clean with water or used water based cleaners. I haven’t personally washed it but I have read reviews that people have machine washed and swear by it. So I can’t personally attest to it - but seems to be working for others!

Where is the Couch from?
I purchased a custom as well in the zander ivory color. Unfortunately I had the worst experience. I placed my order in May and still have not received my couch! When I call they say they have no response/update. I'm this close to cancel my order- but now hearing your review I'm rethinking. I'm just so frustrated because they can't even provide me with an estimate of when to expect it!
Wow. That is a ridiculous amount of time. Ours was ordered at the end of June and arrived in September. You gotta get ahold of someone who can give you some answers! I suggest you don’t cancel it quite yet - a lot of furniture manufacturers are SO back ordered right now so if you cancel now you may have to start the waiting game all over again 😫

Did you receive it yet? We ordered the same color as you did and I haven’t been able to find the color (Zander Ivory) online.
I received an update email today informing me that there will be an additional delay. I feel like you may receive it before i do! But if I do I can record a little video and email it to you- since I wasn't able to find that color anywhere online. I was a little nervous ordering it.

@@yellowpappii8577 on the fence about waiting. We wanted the sectional and the couch in a custom color. we can wait about three months, but I'm worried it may take longer than that with the comments I've been seeing and COVID cases rising!
How does the cushion hold up with your cat on it in terms of claws and hair?
Hi! So so far we just have tried to let them know to STOP when they stretch and go to scratch. But hair hasn’t been an issue and honestly haven’t seen or dealt with any claw marks!
