1:20 This is so real for me, especially in fighting games. Like I could explain competitive fighting game techniques for hours but put me on the controller and I'm getting DUSTED.
Definitely true, this is mostly how improving at all skills works.
Thanks for these videos. I just watched your video about how you reach challenger and honestly not everyone is talking about that hard part of climbing like you did, I'm aspiring to play competitive someday but I've been feeling like lost or hardstuck even tho I've learned new things and actually improve, but a friend of mine is helping me with mental since yesterday. But this? This is like God sent your channel to me, thank you, ireally thank you for putting your time and effort making these videos. I promise I shall take advantage with those and make it worth it
Keep up the vids they are helpful to listen to!
Tbh ever since I started trying to learn properly and play correctly my winrate. Being a turbo 1v9 mechanical monkey can get you so far.
I'm sure as I master all the things im learning my wr will go back up
League community needs to adopt this mentality. Glad to see more people realize and preach this like coach curtis, Natan and azzap
Thank you, that was my question i asked on discord lol
thank you for wisdom
I feel like just "being better" than your counterpart means a lot less if you play top lane...
It's a mental block. You can know but you will always subconsciously go for what you view is the 'correct' play even if you end up skipping the process or other details in the long run. 1v9 mentality sure can work in maybe lower elos but it's as much of a gamble as perma split pushing.
Basically Fundamental. 🤓
Why did you chose kayn as Thumbnail?

on the contrary professional boosters and smurfs always use 1v9 strategies because its the most effective way to win in low elo.
I think this is the best strat because they are already better than the elo, and climb is basically a job. So they want efficiency, controlling the game with snowballing champs and taking over the game. But if the player isn't good enough to do this from the beginning, what is the point? Unless a low elo improves first, he won't be able to climb because it's so different to "test" vs doing plays that you're very confident of the result and have the hability to pull off. Of course you can practice mechanics and it will help, but if you're lacking on every single other aspect of the game, you will find a ceiling very soon. At least it's what I think. How about you?
@@rodolforeetz3189 isnt the point to be better than the elo though. but yes I agree that this usually only works when players are better than the elo.
its only more efficient because they are so much better the people in your actual elo are around your same skill level
@@Okami400 look i am a grandmaster and usually boost accounts from silver to emerald. The strat to get a really high 95%+ wr as i do is to pick a champ with 1vs9 potential (i prefer kled) and just brute force the win with pure mechanical mastery. If the game goes late you have to be the shotcaller aswell
For me The problem is that when u climb a bit higher in lp than ur mmr is then even 60-65 % wr isnt enough to keep climbing which is sad
Cap lol 65% winrate will get you to masters ridiculously quickly
If you have enough game you can climb even with 51% winrate which i have and im master 200lp.
I only have 10 more wins than loses, around 300 and i got here
@@SunOmega That's not how mmr works for everyone.
@@Noctis-lg7xp its the same system for everyone and i have more than one account and this is how it works
@@SunOmega I seen many more people say it's not with positive win rate. I would want to believe it's not as simple as you said it was because then no one would be complaining and just grinding ranked mindlessly for 51% wr.
I didn’t even know people thought that they should be the best mechanical player considering the game is mostly macro
hello referencing

Yes, yet unless you play something that can actually end the game solo, your climb will be rather slow and frustrating in below gold/plat. You give them all the good cards and even tell them how to put it in use, but they simply throw it away along with the victory.
I think it's fair to go for 1v9 if it's working. And when I say working, I mean at least 55%wr in a long run for example
@@rodolforeetz3189 quite the opposite. The consistency with fundamentals alone will give you these 55ish % playing anything and anyhow, but it's still slow. 1v9ing on the other hand works perfectly out there in lower elos
just play to 1v9 in that low of mmr. do not play champions that can’t carry on their own like tanks
I dont understand how you present "focus on the simple things, they matter most before hyperspecific knowledge" as "you dont need to 1v9".
You should have a carry mentality no? I think not focussing on the simple things is completely irrelevant to the idea of 1v9ing?
I see how I could have been more clear. My point is that the 1v9 mentality is not usually an effective way to approach improvement because it leads people to focus on the wrong things in their gameplay.
It depends on what you mean by carry mentality. Yes you should be decisive, commit to your decisions, and be as impactful as possible, but I think that's a far different feel to what people generally associate 1v9 with.
Let me know if that clarifies things or what you think!
@@Sentrial 100% yeah. I'm autistic so maybe thats why I understood wrongly
@@mega4488 don't sweat it! I totally think I could have been more clear about the connection there
Maybe don't post this with the backdrop being the most 1v9 champ in the game.
imagine talking about "1v9ing not being necessary" and showing fed Taliyah
lmfao
@@bteszed399it’s almost like some games you CAN 1v9 and the point of the video was that it’s not always necessary (or even possible) to win.
