I just picked up a Mattel WWE wrestlemania ring. No stickers. Busted ropes. I'll definitely be following your lead and refurbishing and customizing it.

Anything you need, ring decals or figure decals, they got you for about $15. Highest recommendation. Check 'em out on Facebook!
Easy enough to get what you need and do one for yourself! Finding a ring is the only trick but I've seen ones with no ropes and torn stickers for cheap. From there it's all just putting the new pieces on. Have fun with it!

Amazing Video!! I have a Q, maybe you can help me out. Im tve restored the 96 Jakks to look like the LJN 85 ring w/ complete sticker skirts & new ropes. My Q was, you know how the ringposts of the 96 ring has kinda like a hat on top of the post but the 85 one does not. Would you know how to take off the top part of the ringpost without damaging it? Thanks brutha, keep up the good job!!
Hey brother! I have both the original and '96 rings and as far as I can tell there's no way to remove the "cap" part on the 1996 ringposts. The original ring without the capped ringposts was recalled due to a safety issue, as a few young kids apparently got injured on the ringposts, so when Jakks reissued the ring in 1996 they added the rounded caps as a safety feature. But it's all one solid molded piece with no clean way to remove it, as far as I can tell. I suppose if someone were very careful and patient and had the right equipment, they might be able to sand them down a bit to be less prominent. Otherwise, you might be stuck. The ringposts are almost impossible to remove from these things without breaking them, and finding original ringposts loose is very tough as well. So even if you wanted to swap new posts for old on the same ring, that would be a hassle as the old ringposts can go for like $80 if you're lucky enough to find all four at a time. I'd probably just leave it as it is, myself. Sorry I'm not more help. Good luck with it! I plan to have a Hasbro WWF ring restoration soon, so that's something to look forward to.
