Which is your favourite figure from this new round of Stan Solo action figures?
Removable Helmet Darth Vader!
@AnalogToys Vader. It's a great update to the classic without losing any of the aesthetic.
Oh the Jawas for sure.
The R4, sorry for not talking much Tony. Been having minor burnout and problems with anxiety issues. Going to try to talk to you more.
It’s amazing that people can just make batches of stuff like this nowadays. Would’ve blown my little 10 year old mind back in the day.
Considering how they're just repaints of the same model, I wonder why Kenner didn't do it first. Maybe they just didn't think consumers would want to buy something so similar? Not sure, but I know I bought several He-Man figures that were the same model repainted or with a little twist to them.
Great Video Tony, That reminds me to make another Stan Solo purchase very soon for that awesome looking Vader and the green R2 unit..
ps Every time SS brings out a new figure 100.000 Echo base members curl up in pain knowing that they are forever forbidden by their Heavy Handed Evil Empire in to buying them..
Stan Solo will go down as one of the most incredible toy makers of all time.
Still waiting for the Stan Solo Grand Moff Tarkin Cosy / Comfy Slipper Edition.
Yes. We need this.
Thank you for this. Lovely stuff. I would have been 13 when I accompanied my brother to see Star Wars IV in the cinema. I thought it was OK, but never thought about buying the toys. I was not even aware of their existence until years later. The weird thing is, my mother got it into her head that I liked Action Man. I didn't. I was obsessed with Napoleonic Wargaming and I used my pocket money to buy anything from Airfix that could help me build my armies. Meanwhile Christmases were a disappointment for several years.
And so I find myself fascinated with your videos pouring out your heart and soul into your passion for Star Wars and the Action Figure range. Fair Play to you. You sometimes make feel like I have missed out on an exciting childhood phenomenon... Sometimes.
I remember when they finally did make the first reveal Vader figure. I was flipping through some magazine (not Insider), and there was a picture of the finished prototype. I spent my entire allowance on that magazine just for that article. I read it over and over again. I was absolutely covetous. I had never wanted a toy that badly before. Every single time we went to Walmart for like two years, I was in the toy department combing through the Star Wars figures. I can still remember exactly where the display rack was when the wave that Vader was part of finally dropped. I do, no kidding, believe my heart actually skipped a beat when I rounded that corner and saw it, there at last.
Stan Solos work is epic.
Nice video. Stan Solo is doing the Kenner aesthetic perfectly. Filling gaps and being creative. Awesome!
Love the review Tony. And perfect little touch there at the end using the funny hero music that Kenner used in their TV ads back in the day! I love it!
Definitely want to get more of Stan Solos stuff soon. 😊
Man those droids are amazing! I've always loved the clear domed R2 units.
Love that removable helmet Vader! I want one!
I wish this option was available to us back during the original run of the figures. As a kid it upset me that we never got all the droids and cantina aliens. I remember waking up on Christmas morning and seeing the beautiful scenes my father created for me to discover on the coffee table using all the Star Wars items. Just imagining the possibilities now brings a tear to my eye.

You gotta love being able to flesh out the look on your shelves!!!

Stan solo makes far better figures than hasbros retro figures pristine cardbacks unproduced Kenner figures that we wish we had
I think it really helps to have been there in 1985. It's like we're getting a wave of figures after the last 15. It reminds me of that distinct time period. That is a special gift.
The droids and Jawas are sooo cute! I don't collect Star Wars, but I really enjoy seeing fans making toys that fill gaps like this, no matter what line it's for. What an awesome thing.
Another great vid sir!
Epic figures.
Love that earth Vader
Thing me and my SW fan friends did 'Back in the day' [late 70s/80s] was try and dream up/draw what the 'Other letter of the alphabet' fighters would look like [As we knew A, B + X + Y existed] or make them out of Lego or Cardboard
Nailed it.

Stan Solo for the win again!
Really treasures!
Stan Solo does amazing work. We need a playset now from Stan Solo.
I loved that music from the 70's Star Wars toy commercials.
Great memories of great toys.
I love the fact that that Stan Solo is giving Sebastian Shaw the place he deserves on the card. I’m not a collector of the line, but I’m gonna grabbing this Vader! Always on the lookout for what Stan Solo does next because they really put in the work to hit those feels in the right place.
Appreciate you Tony! Always great content!!
Stan does great stuff for old school. Hope I can be half as good in my work, yeah still working on building up a toy company. Compared to Bobby my approach is naive, but everyone keeps telling me "go for it" Dash Terrier Creations getting closer every day.
When I die, I hope to come back as a cloth caped Jawa on a tri-logo card.
Another great video. Never noticed all those droids in the movies. 👍
I appreciate you showing all the droids in a line up. I have been looking out for new figures from Stan Solo. They are spot on, and very vintage looking Kenner pieces. What are your thoughts on collect-ability side of the equation?? Great video, keep them coming!
Removable Darth Vader is my all a time new favorite figure. He is a fantastic replacement for my vintage Kenner headless Darth Vader figure (I customized him myself when I was five years old).
Okay, okay, Tony. I'll go to the Dagobah system to see the upcoming Luke review.
Incredible figures from Stan Solo. That Hasbro half hallway actually looked good with all of Chris' figures in it.
NICE custom Luke!
You want to go to that slimy mud hole why not try that country called middle Zealand it’s definitely better
Hahahaha @@georgeaitken2719
You may be at a loss for words Tony, but that big silly grin on your face says it all! Loved this vid, and can't wait for the nest one!
Removable Helmet Darth Vader is My Favorite
IMO, there's no way that Hayden Christensen could, should, or must have replaced Sebastian Shaw as the Force Ghost Anakin Skywalker.
It’s grated on me for years.
It doesn’t make any sense, why did Obi-wan and Yoda have to be older versions?
@@hannibalharkonnen7612 I assumed the thinking is that his ghost reflected the way he looked before he fell to the Dark Side.
Personally I disliked it as well.
Wicked!! 👌
Tony, great video, please can you look into figures to celebrate the great film The Odd Angry Shot 🌴🌴🌴
Stan Solo !!!! No one's doing it better.
i want to get these i have to see what hasbro is coming out with on may 4th, they said they are coming out with something, if it something i want i have to see what i can afford
He keeps knocking it out of the park! 😎
Fans make the best toys because fans really care!
Totally agree on the Beefier Darth Vader, fact he looked a bit weedy bugged me as a kid [ 'Baby hands' AT AT Commander bugged me too]
It's a long shot, but I would love a Stan Solo figure of Luke in Shadows of the Empire, in the black outfit with the tan vest
This my first introduction to these figure and they are amazing. How do they keep from facing legal action from Disney?
Oh, Tony, you just cost me SO much money!!
Stan Solo figures are absolutely amazing. I just purchased the Greedo - Dagobah Luke and Long Snoot. The joy of receiving these new Kenner accurate figures reminds me the excitement of acquiring a new Kenner figure in my childhood. The 3 astromech droids are probably my next purchase. Wonderful products.
Increibles figuras! Hasbro debería estar avergonzado, saludos desde México
Tony, I remember in the 90s, they made a removable helmet Vader. I know Stan makes dynamite stuff. So how do they measure up to one another? From what I remember of the 90s one, Stan's is a far better match to a vintage collector.
I love the Stan Solo figures. My favorite so far is the screen accurate Pilot Lando
No idea what his sales figures are. Id imagine he is doing good numbers with small profit margin. I hope H'bross don't catch on or if they have have held off based on small profit margin. Here in the UK and Arsenal fan started producting Independent merch. Arsenal took the ideas and partially closed him down using existing copyright. These creators are likely doing this alongside their day jobs. What I don't get is why the parent company don't employ these creators on a consultant basis. It's clear the collectors based on the reviews want their product in preference to the H'bross offering.
Do you think Stan Solo will keep making custom figures? He seems to have indicated he might retire after the Tonnika sisters. It would be a shame since he does Kenner better than Hasbro but I know it's a lot of hard work.
Where did they get that green from? It always looked dark brown to me.
What green? What are you talking about?
Hmm. Any ideas why they went with light blue for Luke Dagobah Training though? Seems an odd choice when it should be more tan colored.
I definitely wouldn't call that light blue, maybe an algae, but I don't have the figure in hand. Regardless, when you create action figures, you have to find a balance between the color of the costume and the color the costume appeared on screen under the filming lights. Hoth Han Solo is a perfect example.
Off topic but has anyone seen the trailer for the new Indiana Jones game I can’t wait for when it comes out
Idiots in Ebay are charging $150 USD each for the carded R3s.
As ever, the fans are making the best stuff nowadays- the Stan Solo stuff is better than Hasbro’s poorly made overpriced crap. The Stan Solo figures are pricey, but the quality is truly remarkable and match the vintage styles so well.
Kenner / Hasbro continues to be asleep at the wheel even with the retro collection. They could have done all of these and more they just simply don't.
Tony if you have any interest in WWE the legends wave iron sheik and hulk hogan are on clearance at target’s now In the states
I have no interest whatsoever in wrestling figures.

This variety of astromech droids is getting quite out of hand....
You don,t have to be an expert to sie that the Stan Solo figurines are top quality. He nows what the collectors want. Hasbro does not now are the simpel wil not now they kan be stubborn at times. En make weird desisions.
So serious question does he have permission to do these? If not how does he get away with it cause hasbro doesn’t play around.
Hasbro doesn’t care
@@AnalogToys really that’s crazy. Well good for him.
