      @@kaviprakashv3241 the negative terminals of both devices should be connected to a single power source, such that the Arduino can send signals to motor driver.
      If the negative of Arduino is not connected to motor driver then it's circuit would be called as an 'open circuit' in which no current travels.

    hia...if I were connecting 2 X 12V @ 0.1A brushless DC (PC) fans to this board, to power the fans and account for the 1.4V loss of power to the L298N transistors, would I be right in thinking I need to use a 13.4V (let's say) @ 2A power supply?
    If I'm correct, will I then also have to remove the 5V output jumper as it's > 12V?
    Never knew that was a stipulation regards the usage of the 5V output...is it documented anywhere?
    Thanks for your vid and any feedback you may have 👍

    Well Explained, nice video, I m using a 5v power bank as power supply, can I use it to power the motors, if yes where should I connect the +5v, the 7-35v pin or the 5v output pin

    • @mayurmhatre9925
      @mayurmhatre9925 Před 4 lety

      Power Bank => (+ve) terminal to lm298n's 12v (+ve) terminal and
      Ground (-ve) should be common for both arduino and the shield you are using.
      Lm298n => (+5v) terminal i.e Output 5V to (Vin) pin which is beside A0 pin on arduino.
      Gnd Should be common on both power supply and arduino,
      So just connect the power supply's GND to Shiels's GND and Arduino's GND pins
