- Hey everyone! Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Chords Of The Black Keys. The Black Keys formed in Akron, Ohio in 2001. What started as a lo-fi garage rock band, quickly morphed into a rootsy swampy blues-rock groove group, as the duo recently collaborated with the legendary Billy Gibbons on their most recent album - 'Dropout Boogie.'
The chord-based/rhythm guitar ideas shared in this lesson were pulled from six classic albums from these guys, and include cuts such as 'Lies,' 'Lonely Boy,' 'Thickfreakness,' 'Under The Gun,' 'Tighten Up,' 'Turn Blue,' and more!

I've always called the black keys Chevy Silverado music. Every song they play sounds like it came straight from a Chevrolet Truck commercial lol
Great band. An other underestimate guitarist and band is dr know of the bad brains; especially the I against I and quickness albums. Not much available on the tube bout dr know and the brains.
