    Really good job. It helps a lot also for my 2013 Jaguar XF 2.0 Petrol as well, since it has exactly the same engine except the fact that it stays 90 degree counterclock vise inside the engine bay :) . Thanks a lot again dud. Congrats...

    I broke the dipstick handle off in my wifes 2013 escape 2.0 ecoboost. Looks like ill be having to pull the valve cover. hopefully it can be re-used since its not leaking currently

    • @fullcend-tkm73
      @fullcend-tkm73  Před 2 lety

      Or you can use a self-tapping screw to fish down in the end of the dipstick and self tapping into the end and pull it out and then you may apply just a little bit of heat to the end as well to loosen it up a little bit more and it'll come right out of there

      @@fullcend-tkm73 I can try, it seems that it wants to keep pushing down into the valve cover. Not sure where it will stop. any thoughts? will it eventually bottom out in the pan? im just worried about pushing it down too far and having to pull the oil pan

    Hi, very nicely done video and description. I have a 2014 Ford Galaxy 2.0 eco boost and I think it is a very similar engine, maybe exactly the same based on the electrical and piping setup. The oil leak is in the same places as in the video. I've been doing minor car repairs myself for a few years, but not the timing chain. It is complicated. But I should be able to handle this. Is it necessary to observe the direction and torque of the cover screws or is it not so important? Mostly they reached the moment of strength "as much as possible and carefully". Thanks and good luck. Sorry for the language, I'm just learning English, I'm from the Czech Republic.

    I am having a p0303 check engine light that comes on once a week. I have swapped coil packs. no change. replaced all 4 plugs.. no change... noticed that the vacuum line that is pressed onto a plastic fitting that goes onto the vacuum pump is split. Even though that vacuum line is about 13 inches long and is not one entire pc. ford only sells this as a 350 dollar entire part. I have not replaced the intake gasket yet but i think the vacuum leak can be causing my issue.I own a 2017 ford fusion 2.0 echoboost gas titanium edition ford... 61,000 miles.... I was having the issue of every time i fill up my rpms would race up and down etc but i fixed that BY REPLACING THE ENGINE PURGE VALVE THAT LOOKS LIKE AN OCTOPUS AND RAN ME 160 AT THE DEALER. Thats all fixed. Just trying to track down the p0303 issue .

    This engine driving me crazy just sorted out the purge valve, now leaking oil from area between coil 1-2. There is a non used bolt hole I tried to put a bolt in between coil 1-2 when i changed spark plugs, could this have caused damage to valve cover gasket making it leak?

This was the video I uploaded so that I can get solution. Even I took it to dealership and they are saying there are no codes.
      Could you please check the video. What could be the problem ?

      @@fullcend-tkm73 Sorry, perhaps my lingo isn't universal.
      I was suggesting that if the work you did in the video was all warranty, you spent more time doing the repairs and editing the video than the manufacturer would pay you! And if that's true you lost money, but the viewers are able to benefit from it.
      I've worked dealerships for decades. It's commonly known that warranty times are very stingy.

    How much does this repair usually cost? I have a 2013 Ford Escape w/ only 77,000 and was quoted $2,000+ for the "valve cover gasket crank bolt and vacuum pump reseal".
    Thanks!

      So with yours they are resealing the front cover as well
      Its about 7hrs labor and then add parts
      So it's about $1,000 in labor and about $400 in parts 2000 dollar seems like it's a little too much
