You are so much more than what your grades or experience say about you, remember it.
In this video, I share my journey through University from when I decided to become a Consultant, more than 3 years ago to when I actually became one.
Despite starting off University with the worse grades possible, and no experience, I have achieved my goal. The formula I used is repeatable and that's what I explain in the video.
Hopefully, you can achieve your career goal as well!
Be clear about what you really want, even if you're not 100% sure, write it down and divide that goal into small & achievable steps.
This "simple" strategy got me interviews at the Big 4 Firms (Deloitte, KPMG and PwC, EY didn't have any job postings at that time), IBM, Sunlife, Gorilla Group and more during my last semester even if I didn't have the best grades nor the best internships on my CV (I had none lol).

you helped me a lot lottttt and this video is really informative and cool
Are you still working with pwc?
Dude mad respect for you for putting forward such an informative video.
Thank you @Sohil!! 😁 Appreciate it!
Sahi mein
ikr I'm in a similar situation except there are no grades yet (covid), but this guy just helped me get so much more clarity than the hundreds of articles I've read
This just gave me hope! Got a rejection this morning on my summer internship application from one of the Top 3 despite them being impressed with all my achievements and high grades. There's a season and reason for everything. Thank you Mahdi.
Cannot agree more with this! Similar to you, I thought I lacked the relevant experience to get my foot through the corporate industry. Turns out these big firms look for students/graduates who are willing to learn, and groom them into successful consultants. I’m blessed enough to have had the opportunity to join one of the big 4 in AU
Im happy for you Dan!! It's great we learned that sooner than later! 😁
I started at one of the big 4 as a consultant without a master degree 2 years ago.... I first thought it's was a glitch in their program when scanning CV's, but they were just more interested in me as a person than in my degree. I took an analytical test, did an interview and I could start. Now they are supporting me to get my master degree because clients are not that forward thinking yet....
Seriously the best audience engagement as well as informative video ever. Hats‘s off dude !
Great video with such relevant information about application, goals, action! You fixed in your mind what you wanted, and then got it. Big respect, you’re animal!💪🏻
Awesome video. Highly inspiring! Very happy you achieved your goal.
one the videos that actually makes some sense and is helpful. Good work!!!!
I went to watch this video because of the information but in the end I feel really inspired by your story, thanks!
Being a TERRIBLE student and aspiring to become a consultant one very fine day. I am really confused what to do next and having self-doubt but your video did motivated me. So, THANK YOU soooo much you can't even imagine how much important this video is for me. I will definitely update you with my journey hopefully I will give a good news. ❤😊
Respect my man! I feel you completely about gaining other experiences instead of having best grades, I was feeling insecure about lacking best grades and analytical skills but then I saw your video and got majorly inspired. I’m 32 now, I was in project management IT consulting work before but got burned out. Then I took 3 years to work as spiritual life coach and working at service industry so I definitely have leadership skills and people skills. Now I’m eager to go to management consulting and I need to gain better analytical thinking skills. Also a masters degree (could I skip this though?)
Great video, thanks so much for inspiring!
Thanks a lot! This is very motivating
This is a great video, thanks!
Loved it. Great process. That's what is called Growing as a person.
Thankyou for the transparency!
As a former consultant I can say your advice is spot on. Great video and good luck with your consulting career!
You have raised my level of confidence man!
Well done for your tenacity. Any work for that matter, unless you are passionate about it and you see purpose in the bigger end game, you won't last especially in Consulting
Thank you so much. Currently, I am looking for a job at Big 4. Despite the career counselor giving me a frown face, I still have hope after watching your video. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
This video was just what I needed as I didn’t do the best in my Alevels due to illness. Now going into my degree with more motivation and with the goal of proving to myself and others that I can do well! Thank you for the inspiration!
Thanks brother, You made me feel a hell of a lot better. With all the sales and management experience I have working for WOW Mobile which like Nespresso falls under match retail, I've been struggling to land even an interview in a management consulting role and now i'm starting to think what I could possibly do to work for the likes of PWC, KPMG or Deloitte. Cheers!
bro you,re awosme i learn too much from you and keep it up. god bless you
Thank you for this video! It was so helpful
This video was so well put together! Thanks for sharing your journey, really appreciate it as a recent grad
Awesome video! I have a very similar experience. Grades don’t dictate who you are as a person... grit and passion do!
how did you become an internal consultant? I also want to become one so badly but my grades in highschool weren't that good
thank you so much for sharing your journey
Wow
So much guidance in short time
Thanks
I am also exactly like you and currently I don't have any internship experience and I am currently watching only sort Skills video presentation on how to become a consultant. yes, its very Struggling , however, I learned a lot from this video. thanks so much .
🤩 You are amazing!
I cried after watching this video. Just like you I'm going to try! Thank you! 🙏
asking questions is always key to thrive in the material you’re studying in economics, marketing, science and tech
Inspiring and respect!
Great video, thank you
Awesome vid !
Very inspiring !!
Great video man. I interviewed big 4 firm for Assistant Manager, first round was with Manager where she asked me questions based on situation and problem solving. I passed. In second round with Associate Director he asked me similar problem. Again my Business understanding was great as per him. But he didn't ask me anything about my leadership style, my people management etc. Anyways thanks for this video.
Thanks for this boost of confidence I'm starting my journey as a project manager/consultant next month and I must say I am as much as student as you are so thank you sir :D
This is very raw and real, thank you for this!
Dude I completely agree with you. I have been very similar situation like you, but eventually PwC gave me the offer. They see ourselves, not only GPA or internship.
This could not have come onto my recommended at a better time in my life. I'm in second year uni going into third in Canada, and want to go into consulting, and I had no idea how/where to start. You earned a new sub!
I appreciate it @Samira :)
Hey mate thank you so much for your advices. To becom a strategy consultant is a top dream of many of us.
That's crazy. I'm exactly in the same situation and I'm trying to do the same thing. You're my consultant role model💯
Love this!
Really inspired me bro! I litterally felt the same as you.. in terms of not going to a very good university, and not having good grades
Very insightful
Such an Amazing video so motivating thanks so much 💯
Wow Congratulations on your goals, and thank you for sharing this video☺️I also want to be a Consultant and I have constructed my resume, but nervous that it won't be accepted. I plan to have a friend look it over, I have worked in Mental Health for 12 years, and want a new start.
I love how you put this video together!
Thanks @Elizeebz :)
Thank You Primal. Your story is inspiring. Your memorable insights about what PwC is looking for, the journey, made an impression on me. I will take this to heart as I am currently applying for internships at the big 4.
Very useful content
Another good point would be to network with students/professionals in your major. Despite having not so good grades or internship experience, being friendly with peers and professionals could help you get interviews! Recruiters often can't put a face to the name which makes it easier to judge you based on grades/experience alone.
Motivation. Big ups
Such an informative video! Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Loved the video man, gives me hope! One thing that scared me as a former restaurant worker was how you didn't curve your left hand when cutting the cucumber 😭💀...I've seen people cut their fingers off doing that
I want to be a consultant yet I feel like it's a peak to climb ..currently I am working in as a market researcher in a startup company where I scan websites and maintain only the relevant and important data ..I have no idea how to get there ...but definitely this video was amazing ...please do help and reply if you could ...thank you ! Keep doing the good things ...
wow bro, this is incredible. I just went through something similar a couple days ago and just accepted an offer from kpmg. good luck bro
Congrats bro!! We all have our challenges, we just have to keep moving!!
congratulations bro. i received 2 big 4 offers exactly a year ago and it was the best feeling in the world. you deserve it
@@peterd9624 that's incredible. Who did you end up signing with?
@@Baddycoda hahaha I would prefer not to say. I can say that its not KPMG
@@peterd9624 I noticed that alot of people are so scared to say which firm they work for. I don't understand why
This is my favorite video!
This motivated me so much!! 🙏🏾
Currently I‘m stucking in the same situation like u in the past... but giving up is not an option 💪🏻 Keep up with the helpful vidz Mahdi 🙏🏻☺️
Vraiment nice comme vidéo avec la petite histoire 😁😁
Thanks bro! 😁
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for motivation, ❤️
This video really encouraged me because i’m an upcoming college grad as well on my pursue to consulting and i as well do not have experiences with internships and things like that. Thanks for sharing
