This video is about my Skandagiri trek experience. Skandagiri is a popular trekking destination near Bangalore, its around 70kms from Bangalore. Trekking Skandagiri hill is one of the best things to do near Bangalore. Its a beautiful trail with amazing views.
We visited Skandagiri during the covid times. I wasn't expecting too many people around this time but to my surprise it was pretty crowded for a trek.
We travelled from Bangalore in our own vehicle but if you like you can even book your trek with a company who will arrange transportation and your e-pass.
For trekking the Skandagiri hills you need to register and get an e-pass, you can apply for it at:

There are very many treks around Bangalore and this is one of them. This is moderate to difficult trek.

Yes absolutely. They checked us twice. It’s government property and you don’t want to be in violation even if no one is checking

What do you mean by moderate level of difficulty? Is it steep at some points? I have problem with heights. If it's not steep I can manage.
It is sleep at some places. By general standards it’s a moderate trek however it is a considerably Long trek.
How about overnight camping? Allowed?

Nice vlog, I have 2 questions:
1. Do you get network connectivity while climbing? (for g-maps)
2. Is there a gate at the checkpoint? Cause i've heard the guard isn't always there at 4:30 in the morning
I’m not sure about the connectivity and you don’t really need it, it’s a well defined trail. There is a check booth.
