    My TC1 Tester used to discharge in few days without use. I thought the battery was small. I replaced the cell with a larger capacity. But the problem didn't solved. After watching this video, I done the same. Now my cell continuously work without any problems. THANK YOU VERY MUCH SIR . ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    For the lesser mortals, you didn't say that you must switch the unit ON when you need to charge it. 🙂

    • @Joftec
      @Joftec  Před měsícem

      Yes that is true, the charge indicating led confirms that too.

    Will do that to mine immediately. Nice and simple. Switch ON for charging!

      Yes switch has to be on for charging, confirmed by the red charging LED

    I did the same, but used a small toggle switch so i can easily tell when it's off by looking at it. It's definitely worth doing..

    I'm going to pretty much just install any small toggle switch I have on hand;
    a simpler, cheaper, and faster modification.
    I've also not found any "micro" style push-on/off button switches that are electrically reliable for any reasonable amount of time before I'm replacing them.

    Thanks for the video. I have several instruments that could use a mod like this. You might consider gluing a ring around the switch so it can't be activated when the instrument is bumped. I have that trouble with one instrument.

      You could file the button down a bit also. Or just round off the edges.

      I used a slide switch for mine as the case I keep it in is a tight fit.

    Great idea, mine is exactly the same, where did you get the switch?

    • @Joftec

      AliExpress, pretty sure they are available on eBay and probably others too

    I have the T7 version of this tester, they seem to have fixed the problem, I can leave it for months and it does not go flat in storage.

      Same here. However, it can get locked up when attempting to test some 3 pin devices which o suppose are not in its database. The only way to reset it is to temporarily remove the cell or let the cell discharge. Therefore I put a switch on mine for reset purposes.

    Hi, I like your modification procedure. Would you please tell me what the switch is called and where to find it? Having the same problem with my tester. Thank you.

    • @Joftec
      @Joftec  Před měsícem

      Hi, the switch was purchased from Aliexpress. I think it is called a Self Locking / UNlock Push Tactile Power Micro Switch . The size is 5.8mm x 5.8mm long button. Hope that helps

      Thank you very much for your response, went ahead and purchased from aliexpress. Will have fun when it arrives.

    i wonder, if you turn off battery is not reseting calibration settings?

    • @Joftec
      @Joftec  Před měsícem

      Hi, yes that may be the case. I do the calibration every time I need accuracy anyway .
