This video covers the history of the holographic image in its modern form, rising from early photography experiments in the late 1800s to a popular American and European phenomenon around the time of the first cinema opened, "The Nickelodeon", in 1908. Over the course of the 20th century, this niche printing went global thanks to manufacturing improvements in plastic molds and was tinkered with by religious capitalists, zany artists and some of the largest corporations at the time.
Learning about Lenticular Printing gives an amazing perspective from which to analyze 20th century history.
