- #About the mod: Fake Factory Remaster is a custom modification that changes the game's artstyle, making it look as close as possible to vannila version.
#Project Goal: Remove unnecessary props, entitys, brushes, decals that makes the game look terrible and unplayable.
#New Features: Added new structures that makes more sense to City 17, Ravenholm, Highway 17 and Nova Prospekt enviorments. Lost Coast is now playable and the soundtrack is back on track.
#Optimization: Removed a bunch of unnecessary files from the game's directory. Removed some FF skins, textures, props and weapons, now we can add our own.
#About the Gameplay: The current gameplay seen in the trailer is using the Remade Assets from Gamebanana Community + MMOD.

7:30 The breakable window texture will cause players to be confused. They might think that the window is unbreakable. Change the window texture into default.
Yeah that window uses the bulletproof glass texture if I'm correct. It should be changed.
I agree I actually like the idea of busting one of those bulletproof windows open with multiple hits but it should have a really obvious giant crack on it or something to differentiate
This is pretty cool, but I feel like you made Ravenholm way too dark here. The original accomplished a creepy atmosphere and lighting without forcing the player to rely on the flashlight the whole time. Aside from that, it's really cool!
I think it looks pretty good! I do have some criticism though.
The lighting flashes looks off, I can't explain what exactly is wrong but they just don't look right. Maybe it's because they last a bit too long?
I also think there should be some rain effects instead of just sounds.
Lastly, I think you should change the window texture at 7:31. That texture is typically used to show that a window is unbreakable, so using it there may confuse some people.

Bro, need more light sources. In Ravenholm TOO dark. The town doesn't get any scarier if you turn off all the lights on the level. It just makes it uncomfortable to play.
And I have a question. What configuration did you render the maps with? I think rendering at max quality with your level of detail will take about forever

Very interesting, love the incorporation of the Beta intro to Ravenholm. Only thing I'm not sure about is the new lighting, it feels too dark. Now given Ravenholm is more horror centric it does kinda add to the vibe, that being said if you don't know where you're going I feel like it might make navigating the map more annoying in some sections, especially since the flashlight isn't infinite. IDK, maybe some more ambient lighting that isn't as dark. But all in all, this looks interesting.

SUPER excited for release tomorrow. Hell of a job with ravenholm here, the new atmosphere is incredible. Ill for sure be playing this probably the hour it releases. Good work.

Congratulations, you have exceeded all my expectations, but there are a few little things that bother me a bit, but they can be fixed in future patches, like the lightning illumination that looks a bit unnatural, or how the city is always dark, I really like your idea that the flashlight has to be used all the time, but I would have left that mechanic in the interiors. But everything else looks spectacular.
PD: And did you come up with any overcharged ideas for RavenHolm?
Would definitely recommend less pitch darkness here; Ravenholm can be pretty mazelike in parts and playing it in _total_ darkness would probably do more to increase _frustration_ than _immersion._

This is mega awesome work and I can't wait to play this, makes for a great reason to play Half Life 2 again! Maybe remove the lightning effects though? They looks rather strange, unless this is just early work and will be greatly improved on release? Still looks amazing none the less!

Great audio design. When it comes to graphics, it's generally nice but some HL:A assets look a bit out of place. The rain should be more visual, and lightning flashes are too long. Foliage could use some better models as well. 10:50 the meaty floor looks off. Why is it even here? This is not Ishimura.

Compared to the original Cinematic Mod. Well it's still seems a bit off at some places, but at least it's logical. Let's simply take a look at train station. Unlike in original game, civil protection is now everywhere. It seems off compared to the original game but it's logical since that's literally where new city citizens come from. I think the same logic applies to ravenholm. It was intended to be dark and moody and the mod simply enchanted the enviroment. Again it's darker than the original game, but it's logical.
So basically the docks just take a long loop back to the original starting point

edit : the zombies and headcrabs are also ones from "Half Life 2: Remastered" or does it count as free use?

If I'm pretty sure, the HUD Is just a mod for MMOD, you'll have to download It manually for MMOD.
The lightning looks like doodoo you can see what Andreas did in Cry of Fear maybe idk this is source
Edit: you can do it with a skybiox change with sv_skyname "skybox" and not change the lightning at all
I suggest removing the rain, as the Citadel controls the weather. I think rain would be great in the Episodes though!

the mod is good but its the map always off because lack of geometry and too low poly
