It does amuse me how Sylvia is always compared to Blanche. She was outspoken and had the potential to cause offense - but she was a lot more bossy and business minded than Blanche but nowhere near a cruel or mean. She also had a wiser, kinder interior - which let's be honest, Blanche lacked. I would say Sylvia is way more similar to Maude Grimes (anyone else old enough here to remember her?!).
