Well For those as slow as myself, I discovered that when doing your midi settings, changing your controller type to mackie control universal will make your keyboard only work for komplete kontrol. If you set Komplete Kontrol -1 and EXT -1 to generic controller you can use on all tracks and dont need to set ports! Hopefully this helps someone

I'm sold on the chords/scales part of this keyboard. As someone that's always played by ear this would be extremely helpful for me. I'm finally starting to learn some theory, but this would definitely help me out with speeding up the process. I think it's time I purchase the 61 key version of this keyboard! I just wish it synced up perfectly with FL Studio without needing to do extra steps. That's the only reason why I'm on the fence a bit.
Can I just say that this is the worst piece of music hardware I've ever bought? I bought the S88 Mk2 in 2019 because I thought I was treating myself to something a bit nicer than the cheap M-Audio keyboard I bought used. This thing never worked properly. FL Studio wouldn't find the DAW-1 input 9/10 times or it would report device errors. I got fed up with it, so I went back to the old keyboard which worked without issue until it got a loose connection in the USB port very recently. Dug the S88 Mk2 out of the closet for the first time in years the other day to try it out on my new PC, and it won't boot past the loading screen. Really great stuff, guys! Quality product!
So is it the fault of the DAW / Image Line or is it on Native's behalf to get deep integration working with FL? Because I am looking into getting an S49 now but if I cannot use it with FL then that's just a pointless expensive midi controller at that point. Just curious on who we're waiting for at this point

I mean by now The Deeper integration with fl should be easy! I found some scripts that almost do it flawlessly (and shows an image on the keyboard screen for the mixer state) but it's kinda janky. I've had the s49 MKII as my main for almost 3 years now and I cant stress enough how badly I need this fixed for my workflow.

Better late than never, but it just that old trick of use the Mackie Control Universal protocol. Im still waiting for more of the unlock the keyboard's full potential like mixer control for example? PS: NI management could learn some from Image Line guys Philosophy.

Hi, I have an issue with using two komplete kontrol softwares at the same time in fl studio. When I open a second komplete kontrol my keyboard can only browse in that one, but it doesn't allow me to browse and manipulate the first one I had opened previously.
anyone able to record the chord function from Komplete Kontrol into their daw? mine is just recording the one note I hit. I tried a few methods to route the midi out and back into FL but cant seem to get it to work.
A deep integration basically allows you to control more functions and parameters of your daw such as transport commands and more, not only the instruments 💪
So after several more years since this videos release, NI still has not released full functionality for FL studio. Luckily since Image Line has released midi scripting, the community picked up the slack and scripted controls for full functionality. I cant post links here, and i may upload a video on how to do it on my own channel. Shame on NI for not implementing functionality after several years. I would also diss the keyboard as well if it werent for the fact that the community midi script made it incredible. It turns out that the community is better at doing NIs job.
i have a problem. i tried downloading a cracked version of kontakt about 2 years ago. and now it won’t let me open the real thing. i deleted all files i thought could’ve been the bogus one, but then no kontakt shows up on fl at all. anybody know what i need to do?
When using komplete kontrol in chord mode when recording to piano roll midi notes will the midi show up as the actual chords the komplete is generating? Or will the midi notes show in piano as the single key that was pressed ?
@@NativeInstruments lets say i have a hardware synth configured in fl studio to play midi from piano roll then the sound comes out of the synth into fl studio through my interface input. is there any way to have the s49 chord / mapped mode be used for my hardware synth to play as if it was a instrument in komplete kontrol taking advantage of the scale mode ?

I figured it out. Left side hold down Shift button, right side hold down Track/Instance button then turn the big jog wheel and press down to activate the instance you want to manipulate. It will appear in the tiny LCD screen.

@@JasperStaal86 I'll attest to the GitHub midi script. It works. It's not perfect but it makes the NI Komplete Kontrollers useable. As of last I checked, which was earlier this month, NI has not released full integration. I have an A49, and while the transport works with the new Komplete Kontrol, everything else, like changing between mixer tracks and channels, doesn't.
As of 8/8/24, full integration has not been implemented by NI. However the community has stepped up and provided a midi script for full integration. NI should be ashamed of themselves

Ok is it me or was only the first 3:00min about FL& the keyboard the rest was about the KK board and the KK software. what he showed I can still do with my Axiom49 First gen. board, and It has knobs, faders, pads. Too much $ for a board to do what I all ready have. No one wants to integrate with FL.
my komplete kontrol is not being scanned in FL. The Kontakt player is scanned and works fine. Though they are both in the same folder of NI. Solved after watching this - czcams.com/video/LMm19aSZWV0/video.html --- You must mention that we have to add the Native inst folder location in the scan location, through option menu> Manage plugins. Just add NI folder location for scan and scan it.

Because kontakt has never worked for me. I will not by it. The midi doesn't work. It never worked for me over 10yrs. I tried everything even read that book that is a waste of time reading
Hi NI have a big problem with Studio One 6, there no Komplete kontrol DAW, can't be found in studio one, only mini function" sweet water, and others company are noticed problem. Impressive they acknowledged FL Studio as an actual DAW. Many VST developers don't even mention it despite its popularity.
And yet after several years they have yet to release full functionality. If they acknowledge it as a daw, they don't treat it like one.
Over half of this video has nothing to do with FL STUDIO. We want more direct integration with FL Studio please.

My FL Studio is not listing anything in that blue box for Midi inputs. My Komplete Kontrol is plugged in and lights are on. What do I do now?

There is a setting called "Foot pedal controls note off". Click that and then plug in your keyboard again. Now you should have pedal controls. :)
only way it works for me is if i set as generic controller.. all the options you have in this video dont exist on my one

Bear in mind the primary purpose of our keyboards is to integrate flawlessly with our plugins, not the DAWs.
