  • This is my general review of what I do and don't like about the Raytech 5 pound tumbler. This is not an in depth review of the process I use to polish with this tumbler but more just an overview of its features. If you have any opinions on the tumbler I would love to hear them!

We use a TV-5 for burnishing silver and copper jewelry using stainless steel shot and pins. It’s a workhorse unit! The noise is considerable, so we put a 7 gallon pool chemical bucket over the top. Drill holes in it to disappate heat.
If you decide to upgrade your setup, you can probably sell the TV-5 for at least $100 bucks. They’re great for small jewelers and shops.

I bought a pair of pliers with nylon lined jaws for the rubber nuts. It does help to tighten them for the slightly bulged sides per the instructions. My main problem seems to be adding the correct amount of water.

Great video. What size rubber washer? Where did you purchase it? Thanks

I just ordered one, but not from Amazon because I found it $35 cheaper from another vendor. However, Amazon does have a better bowl as a separate item for $29 that I may get. I'm planning on using this vibrator mainly for the polishing stage. I'm looking forward to less tumbling time. Thanks for your video tips.
