Great collection 😍😍 I'd love to start collecting N gauge aswell, I went a bit madder in O gauge, one of each set ever made ! Got in the region of 125 different sets 🙂 so drooling over your collection 🙂🙂👍
Wow! What a collection, and a great running session! I've got a soft spot for the original 80's livery myself, but there are some stunners in your collection. All the best, Ian.
Fantastic collection, you must be one of only a handful of people to have managed to collect so many! Can’t beat a classic HST in swallow livery, definitely my favourite. By the way, those 4 vases with flowers are slightly out of scale…! Great video and thanks for sharing 👍
Can't beat the Grand Central livery. The HST just look incredible wearing that. I'm the proud owner of a full 8-car IC Swallow HST set. The only place I found mine was directly from Dapol on their website a few years ago so I ended up paying top price for it, but they're so worth it. Cost me double for the coaches as I stupidly ordered the buffered versions by mistake! They now live in the rail tour drawer. Shame about the rear power cars sitting a good 5mm above the coaches, though. Every single Dapol HST I've seen does it and it drives me batty when I look at mine.
Oh blimey! That's a costly mistake aha, you are very lucky to be in possession of that particular hst as they're hens teeth now, and yes I too dislike the power cars height difference with the coaches, it's even more prominent if using a bluky decoder, I have to use Gaugemaster Ruby decoders in all the Dummy units
Awesome collection there. I want a couple of the Castle Sets but going to have to wait as pre-order isn’t an option. Will chance the second hand market. Love the test train yellow and the ‘Fag Packet’ look on the HST.
I believe you can still pre order the castle sets from Hattons, and yes the NMT is a favourite of mine, Fag packet not so much but gotta have them all for this!
For me it's the EMR livery, are some of the power cars sitting prowled? I can remember the stink of the brakes compared to loco hauled stock at the time the HST's came into service on the East Coast!! least favorite is the Deer livery of MML
The loco bodies on the Eadt mids hst I believe do sit up slightly as there's a bigger decoder inside, I'll look to replace these with bachmann or gaugemaster decoders which are far smaller
Love the track and the collection. Do you mind sharing the measurements of the layout? Would like to see how it compares to my space as looks like it may be similar
It did cost a fair bit yes, especially for the rare ones I had to win at auction, the layout is lit by 3x4ft LED battens on each side then another at the end of the layout
sometimes it feels best not to know the price off the stock, haha, i see those Lovely *trees* ;) look a tad out of gauge, made me laugh watching you finnish the shot before Rescuing the stranded Grand Central set XD
Seriously amazing amount of HST's there !!!!!!!. Massive pat on the back !!!. All i want is the GWR Riviera Green " Castle " Power Cars and the FGW Dynamic Lines Mk3's to make up my set. Tried Osbourne Models as they advertise the coaches as being in stock. Emailed 2 weeks ago, still no reply. Starting to give up hope a bit if i'm honest. Have you tried using the Hunt HST couplings by any chance ???.
@@greatdeltan6556 Just HAD TO watch this video again !!!!. This video is very special on many levels.....For starters watching the HST's snake around the canted curves. Your breakdown of how and why you acquired each set, etc. I was (and still am) a big fan of your previous layout too. I've just noticed something else though.....The amazing backscene near your current station build !!!!!. Did you buy that , is it a special commission or something ????. Just awesome !!!!
Great collection, I can't imagine the cost of it though, a quick video of how you ballast your track might of been interesting as some people differ in ways to do it.
Amazing! It was a Dapol HST that got me into N gauge. I have since collected quite a lot, but still nowhere near the amount you have here as my layout is based on the Midland Mainline, It has been a long and expencive process finding the EMT livery ones! (If you ever decide to sell yours can I have first refusal please!!!!) I have recently released a video of all my HSTs running, please check it out.

Darrenbury Central Hi great show love the HSTs.

I don't mind Intercity executive but I do prefer the newer liveries, I suppose it's what you grow up with in the end, cheers though :)
素晴らしい鉄道模型製品動画映像ですね、 Great Deltanさん、上手に撮影されておりますよ、お見事です、今後とも、大切に扱い末永く大事にご愛用下さい。
Nice to see see so many HSTs running all together.
Thank you
Love those long sweeping curves!
Sweeeeeeping cuuuurrrrves look sooooo good with the HSTs!
I have to say, I'm rather taken with this version of Great Deltan...I love me some concrete platform edges!
Sorry only just seen this comment, thank you!
good collection thanks lee
Well, that puts my paltry single rake in it's place! Great to see them all in full flight.
Cheers!

I should think not too many people are crazy enough to try and collect all aha, and yes the flowers do make for good scenery don't they!

Nice HST session, the platforms starting to look good.
Cheers :) shall aspire to your standard
@@greatdeltan6556 haha I think you will surpass my platforms as you have used a plaster covering, my plasticard ones are warped in places.
Love the track and the collection. Do you mind sharing the measurements of the layout? Would like to see how it compares to my space as looks like it may be similar
It measures roughly 2.5m wide and 5m long
I am not in the UK, but would like to know if 2+8 or 2+7 formation of HST was more formal in the late 70s and early 80s? cheers~
Fantastic! Is the Prototype HST going to be added as well?
Unfortunately not, I did consider it but decided against it in the end, too much money spent!
Great collection of HST must of cost a fortune, what size is your layout ? Also what lighting you using on your layout ?
It did cost a fair bit yes, especially for the rare ones I had to win at auction, the layout is lit by 3x4ft LED battens on each side then another at the end of the layout
Coming on really well. Does anyone to the Midland Pullman one in 'N'?
Not currently, I imagine there'll be a market for it soon though as the OO gauge is there RTR
Brilliant,my favourates is East midlands,East coast,FGW and Midland mainline teal green.Check out my HST collection 00 gauge.
East midlands and GNER for me!
sometimes it feels best not to know the price off the stock, haha, i see those Lovely *trees* ;) look a tad out of gauge, made me laugh watching you finnish the shot before Rescuing the stranded Grand Central set XD
Ah someone had to point it out aha, as you may tell I'm to be married soon and the garage is proving a useful storage area
@@greatdeltan6556 layouts are always usually for the stuff you dont want on them 😂😂 yeah, best off luck with your Marriage 😊😊

Thank you:) I would never go with osbournes they have quite a reputation to be honest, all the HSTs in this video are fitted with Hunt couplings

Anyone got any info on why the old oak common has been delayed so long
Has DAPOL ever produced the Midland Mainline Teal HST?
No they never did, Farish did though

Ah yes I'm familiar with your work and HSTs, just watched your video looking very good, you've done well to accumulate that many EMTs
